Yes, I remember Deep Forest, I don't think it's stood the test of time as well as Enigma's first album but you're right it was along a similar theme. Deep Forest is also expensive on vinyl now (I'd like to get a copy!)

Given when this was made, I'll wager the original was digital. This period was when samplers (which are digital) and computer based audio workstations, though expensive, were widely available and you could make music with a semblance of high definition using Midi, samplers, digital drum machines and synthesizers.

Something about this music. Makes you drift into another dimension. It is truly something magical, the way it makes you feel inside, it's cosmical. Not to be fresh, but it's perfect for making love and getting freaky. You should buy an antistatic gun for your records, and a cleaning kit .. you can find cheap ones that will do a great job .. lots of pops and clics here, but it still sounds great, wow ! I'm rediscovering this album, thanks ! I can't imagine how great this should sound with a great amp/pair of speakers !

Hi Lucien, I have a wet cleaning machine so don't really suffer with static or dirty records. This particular pressing is noisy as it's well used and wasn't well looked after (I actually got it in a charity shop a few years ago, I'd like a clean / silent copy but it's expensive nowadays!)

@@AudioPhil1 For me, this really sounds like a static issue .. static electricity appears on your records because you are using them on your turntable, I don't think that a cleaning kit/machine can fix this .. and this issue is even bigger with second hand / old records .. if you don't have something to get rid of it, you should get a gun, you would definitely hear the difference, and it's not that expensive ..

I cannot describe the feeling. Only use the term Analogue(cassette tape)vs digital(compact discs). As this vinyl record version kinda like keep the original analogue version but with clearer quality. While the CD version kinda remastered feel which is also good in its own ways. Using the sadeness as a reference song. Which at that point of time their famous hit song. Do you have the "return to the innocence" song of engima?.
