My journey to trying to use the Mig-21 on the DCS Multiplayer Growling Sidewinder server. It was an interesting challenge to fight 1990s NATO Aircraft in a 1960s Era plane but I had a lot of fun and I wanted to share some tips along the way and hopefully inspire you to try it out. I personally find myself gravitating more toward flying older aircraft instead of the newer ones in DCS because I find each kill more rewarding and I am learning a bunch while doing it.
This video is really more inspiration more so than a direct guide, with that said I feel like I got a good grounding on this so hopefully you find the tips here useful.
One thing I forgot to mention with my microphone. The bogey dope keymap is bugged in DCS. You must ask for bogey dope via the radio menu before the keymap works. So as you arm your plane do a bogey dope and then your keymap will work as you are flying around.
