Spoiler: This theme makes a lot of sense if you consider that Aventurine actually doesn't want to win, but instead wants to use the MC to uncover for the people of Penacony that they have been living a lie. I love this shrewd gambler.

What's unfortunate is that no one has made a mix of this song that encapsulates both phases. Technically the core track doesn't change, but during a specific part of phase 2, it does loop a different version of the track. Would probably change the perception of the track a bit as it adds a new mood.

Star Rail's got some great music, and the recent live concert (literally just within the last week) was a fantastic demonstration of that. If you'd be at all interested in looking into more Star Rail stuff I'd recommend watching through some of the character trailers as that's definitely where you get some of the more recognisable pieces (i.e. A Dramatic Irony, Monodrama, Your Color), especially in the more recent ones - or just watching the whole concert in the event that you've got two hours to spare XD

Star rail's music generally fits its setting well, but doesn't stand out very much with the composition and technical aspects. "Wildfire" is probably the most beloved piece of music in the game, and it's a pretty generic rock song-- it's just massively enhanced because it's played in a super epic moment in the story. The 2.x versions' soundtracks have had a lot more music that stands out on its own though. You should absolutely listen to "Return of None", another recent boss theme; it's my favorite track in the game so far. (2.1 Spoilers) Aventurine's theme isn't super impressive, but it fits perfectly in the story; it embodies the smug, confident character he's projecting to the protagonists, but it also hits you with some major emotional whiplash because, as the player, you've just come out of a story sequence in which you learn he's sinking in grief and panic and this battle is his fancy way of committing suicide. Fighting the boss knowing that you're helping him with that goal makes the music both incredibly hype and incredibly sad.

It would be great to see you react to the character trailers and the music for them! There are also some animated shorts with great music and story telling as well :)

star rail's music is actually pretty good but compared to genshin its very different, genshin as a fantasy game has a lot more organic music and star rail as a sci fi has more techno elements but its really unique as well. If you want to react to more honkai star rail music you could check out the sam boss theme, some of the character trailers like acheron, sparkle, kafka, rondo across the stars. Those are really cool and would be fun to react to

This dude is insane for story, ost, personality, backstory, ost, ost, ost, etc Also yeah, Star rail is a bit smaller than Genshin with a less completely obsessive fanbase so there will be less demand in general. Also the game is aimed more towards an older audience than a younger one like in Genshin, where Genshin players will usually have more free time to watch youtube

eh i don't really know about that. i don't see much a difference. genshin and star rail tragets.. i wouldn't genshin is more targeted for kids than star rail? why do you say that

@@TheGamingTeam101Tgt101Genshin is open world which more younger people enjoy compared to “boring” turn based games. Genshin’s story is told to you, then repeated once or twice again to make sure you get what’s happening with very little subtlety. Star Rail doesn’t constantly repeat itself and has parts of the story they never even tell you and you have to figure out from context clues. All of Genshin can be cleared with mindless button mashing from almost any unit as long as the enemy isn’t immune to their element, whereas in Star rail you usually have to think about what each unit will do now, but also multiple turns in the future, while carefully building teams around them. Genshin has very little in regards to challenge content outside of the abyss, with most of the content being fun little minigame events that come and go. Perfect for the super casual player, who usually are on the younger side. Star Rail constantly updates the game with new challenge modes to test the limits of an account and check your knowledge of the mechanics to keep the hardcore players, who are usually on the older side, excited, while still having some fun minigame events on the side to keep the casual audience. Keep in mind I love both games and am simply stating what I’ve noticed having played from day one for both games and been in the communities from day one. Even did surveys within multiple fandoms for who liked and disliked turn based games (50 samples each) and the results showed around 30% more older people (ages 18-30) liked turn based games than younger people (ages 10-17).

The developers tell people this stuff ahead of time publicly, so don't worry, they write the story knowing you may know this going in.

@effortlessfury Thats interesting, i wonder how come they do that- im very new to the game (started about 3 weeks ago and 100 hours in already) and just few days got to Pentacony (i havent done its story almost at all) As i havent watched any content nor read anything i havent got spoilers until now- (expect the architects lance by youtube shorts)

@@johtajavaltsu4471 I suggest you leave youtube until you've caught up. The new update with the final part (except the epilogue) of Penacony's trailblaze quest is coming tonight and a huge swarm of spoilers will be incoming as people react to whatever happens. People WILL put spoilers in thumbnails and video titles. It's very frustrating.

@@anaplaysstuff Oh i guessed that to happening, as there wasnt echo of war boss for pentacony yet. (I noticed that while listening to boss musics) But i guess ill be fine? Theres like none hsr videos on my main page yet. (Expect the ones who ive subbed) But thanks for the advise, ill play it safe and use youtube little less.

Star Rail's music suits its theme but it's not as flashy or "true instruments" inspired as Genshin. There are only a few standout tracks tbh.

Ya I in lov both however if you take away the 3 extra years of content HSR > GI in every thing basically. I’ll admit GI has some good OST however all you need to do is look at the HSR concert they just had… Truly a Genshin Could Never moment. As for HSR OST you should react I’d suggest *Wild Fire* or *White Night.*
