I agree Ed 2 is more generic, but it’s still my favourite. The sudden heaviness in the chorus, distorted guitars playing that typical chord progression (4/5/6/3). It’s so emotional, I think watching the show and hearing it play in a few key scenes really cements it

I loved your interpretation of Tachy’s theme song (phase one and two). The person who uploaded it stitched both phases. The song does a beautiful job at representing the emotions behind the battle just like many of the songs in the game. Democrawler being another fantastic representation of what happens during that segment when you have context of the boss’ origin. As far as Keiichi Okabe, composer of NieR, he did not work on this game at all. Two of his protégées, Oliver Good and Keita Inoue, from his studio MONACA composed some of the music in the game. Oliver Good composed Raven’s theme song, which is another insane body of work which sets the tone of the battle and atmosphere. This soundtrack is absolutely stellar.

i think for string theocracy, you probably want to watch the version with the visuals you see in the opening when it plays in game. that said, it also cuts out like half of what you hear in the version you listened to
