Surely mankind is ungrateful to their Lord… “If We give people a taste of Our mercy then take it away from them, they become utterly desperate and ungrateful. But if We give them a taste of prosperity after being touched with adversity, they say: “My ills are gone” and become totally prideful and boastful.” (Quran 11:9-10) 🤍

Asalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah. I come to you Sheikh because I love your lessons, and have something on this subject to share of my own. Some things will be harder to believe than others, but those with faith will see Allah SWT in his actions. As he has said many times in the Qur'an, he guides the righteous. I believe that he has guided me in his own way, but I will explain what I mean. In 2019, I began to hallucinate and self derive knowledge based off of what I was experiencing and what I was feeling. I won't get into what it was, but needless to say the experience hounded me for 3 full years. I had many episodes, and was diagnosed Schizophrenic. I had converted to Islam in 2020, but it never really stuck with me until 2022, when the experience ended. That did not mean Allah SWT was finished with me, however. After February 2022, my last episode, I fully realized that I was not in control of my reality, and started to become fully attuned to the teachings of Islam as a result of that realization. Slowly, Allah SWT began to fill my life with his light from the Qur'an. I began to understand the words and practice Salah daily, going to Maghrib and having Iftar with the congregation on Ramadan. Life was good at this point, because I had left that old world behind. That is not to say I did not hear voices throughout this. Firstly, I would hear Djinn and Shayateen speaking. This was unmistakable, though for a time I did not know from where the voices were coming from. At times, I was sure I heard Allah SWT, but I could not distinguish him clearly from the other voices. This did not remain to be so, however. Eventually, I questioned the voices in my head with one simple question "Are you Allah?". Many of these voices did not respond, as I expected them to. Some attempted to say "I am he", but this did not mean it was Allah SWT to me. So I asked again, "Can you say you are Allah in those words?" and they could not. But eventually, one voice which I thought was Allah SWT was questioned. It responded to me with clarity, as it always had, and even expressed the words "I am Allah!" when questioned. From what I knew of this voice, it had always enjoined good on me, and wished me to be a Muslim as well. There are other smaller proofs, but this to me gives me a good indication that Allah SWT is on my side. So this brings me to my main point. Enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil can be expressed like this: What Allah SWT loves for the Shayateen (i.e. Devils, not this big subgroup of entities) he does not love for man, but one must understand that to treat respect for life with any sense of morality, one must understand that He SWT does love that for Devils. It is clear by the way they operate, preying on the evil minds (Unlike Iblis, who misguides all of humanity). Allah SWT loves this for the Shayateen, but what he loves for them he does not love for man. This is the proper respect one should give to life, and I'm not saying to group Djinn in with this thought because to me, they operate in a different way (Just personal experience), but as for the Shayateen, that's just the way they live. Enjoin with what is good and forbid evil in this way, and you will have wisdom. I hope that helps. It comes from a wealth of experience in dealing with these Shayateen, as they used to taunt my mind as well. But for those who guard their Hidaya, and participate in the righteous attitude imposed on Muslims by Allah SWT, saying "Auzibillah Minashaitaan Nirajeem" is good enough to keep them at bay. Then again, they might not listen to an evil person saying the same, especially if he or she is just using it as a way to keep doing what else they want in evil ways. That is for Devils to admit as right, and not for us, though one can clearly see eye to eye on it with wisdom. I won't say anything more, I hope I'm not treading on feet here! Be well and safe!

Great lecture maschallah. Especially nowadays, we all feel wrongly entitled to give a judgment without thinking and behaving following what Sheikh Assad is teaching, helps a lot the parents especially whilst teaching Deen to their children , there we should start. Jazakum Allah Khayran

Overlooking mistakes التجاوز عن المخطئ Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَضَعَ عَنْ أُمَّتِي الْخَطَأَ وَالنِّسْيَانَ وَمَا اسْتُكْرِهُوا عَلَيْهِ Verily, Allah has overlooked for my nation their honest mistakes, forgetfulness, and what they are forced into doing. Can you also talk about the parents who put pressure on their eldest sons to financially take over for whole family even after marriage when they have duty towards wife & kids too, leaving them stressed and torn between the two…. Is it the eldest brothers duty to look after the siblings too financially?

The Best Words After the Qur’an سُبْحَانَ اللهِ ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلهِ وَلَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ ، وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ. Subḥāna-llāh. wal-lḥamdu li-llāh, wa lā ilāha illa-llāhu wa-llāhu akbar. Allah is free from imperfection. All praise be to Allah. There is no god worthy of worship but Allah. Allah is the Greatest. Samura b.
