I’m just one person so while I like to have an empty dishwasher in the morning so that dishes don’t pile up in the sink during the day sometimes there’s just not enough to really make sense to run it. You can also wash the bigger pots or bowls by hand sometimes but I find I really like to run everything through the dishwasher at least once a month even the big stuff. And even though I’m just one person I do cook for myself from scratch so I make lots of dishes and pots

I find that washing one or two of the biggest bowls or pots can leave a lot more room in the dishwasher for plates and smaller bowls. Otherwise, I don’t have a schedule. I just run it whenever it’s full. 😊 Clever crafty Mom. The boys will love your hard work.

Just me and my pup, but I do run my dishwasher a few times a week. Birthday prep is sooo cute!

The food sounds like it was delicious. The construction vehicles are such a great idea! Very creative. Colored duct tape may be an option for decorating parts of the vehicles, but may also be a bit costly. The boys are going to love them!

Sophie, Such a cute birthday idea. Since it's just my Hubby & I don't run the dishwasher but every other day. Sometimes, it's just easier to hand wash them. 😊

The bulldozer is so cute, and I don’t think you’re crazy for starting this early, especially given the time it’s taking you. There’ll be plenty to do closer to the party that you can’t do really far in advance. The trick now will be to keep Owen from playing on it!

I only put dishes in the dishwasher and fill it up and wash them when full , maybe twice a week

You have such an amazing house. You have so many cabinets and closets which is great but also scary cause you’re accumulate more stuff when you have more room for it
