Young lady this was one awesome video. Three years ago I got hit by a financial storm, dropped my income down to $435.00 a month. I am a healthy man, I could have chosen other options. I chose poor, and have been living like a King ever since. I am from Canada, I travelled much throughout the United States. It was my friends from West Virginia that inspired me. The fun part is learning how to make all kinds of things cheep and flavorful, thanks to gals like you. I encourage everyone to try live poor, you may love it like I do.

@@kelliintexas3575 My friend we must be careful when we use the word " lord " Jesus the Christ is/was a pure example of You. You and the father are one. You heal the sick. You raise people from the dead. You live in miracles each day. God is Not something out there. God is here and now. You will not find God in Church. This is a Myth a distraction from who you you truly are. When you begin to see that You are truly God, and everything in God is in You then and only then will you truly begin to live. When I say " You are God " I say " You are a drop in the infinite ocean/universe of God. My friend please understand that we have ALL been programmed in fear. It is fear that is the root of ALL evil. It is the thread of fear that has been woven throughout life from the beginning of time. The TRUE teachings of Jesus the Christ is to COMPLETELY deny fear, give it zero attention. In God You are Love. Become Love ONLY. If your thoughts are not FULLY in LOVE, than this is a distraction from who you truly are. When I say " I and the Father are one I say "I Love and Love are One. Love and fear do not mix, therefor You must leave fear behind. You must be willing to give up all, because all up until now has been birthed in fear. When You place your Focus entirely on Love. I don't remember if I told you about how I like to eat fresh, warm bread or not, butter is okay, but I like to bake a loaf and while it bakes, I go to the garden and select a ripe beefsteak tomato and pick it. Then I take a thick slice out of the middle of the tomato (still warm from the sun). I slice the bread and slather mayonnaise on both slices to make a sandwich with the tomato. The yeastiness of the bread and the acidity of the tomato make wonderful combination that when I think about it, it makes my mouth water. Yum!😋

Well I've made sour dough without weighing it if you think about it our ancestors didn't have scales you don't either alot of people you watch on utube make it look Intimidating for new people to do but you pull it out feed it and start to making a sourdough loaf I have confidence you'll do great
@akadventurer75638 ай бұрын
Well, youtubes stupid rules have deleted my long answer to this, so here goes for simplicity! PLEASE don't worry about weighing things! We've been baking(and all other cooking) for thousands of years without weighing things, that's an advent of the last decade or so... Heck even exact measurements is an relatively new thing! Sourdough is no different, its very simple! there are several ratios that people use to feed; starter; flour; water, 1;1;1 is the most common, 2,2,1 is common too, and that by volume is as I recall equal to a 1,1,1 by weight... My favorite flour brand at King Arthur does a 1,2,1 but I think that would be too dry.. But you could try it! Seriously though, its not rocket science, 1/2 cup of each, water flour and starter. Take it out of the fridge weekly, discarding half(add it to pancakes or something instead of throwing it away if you want) before feeding, give it a half hour to work, then back in the fridge for a week if not to be used. When going to bake, take it out 8 to 12 hours before making dough, feed, and leave it out. It should double in volume... don't panic if it doesn't! Use what you need to bake then back in the fridge, feed first if you wish.. That easy, dead simple. All by volume. If it doesn't double with feedings, adjust your ratio a bit, might be over or under feeding-- see what yours likes. New starter, or something that's been dormant a while will take several daily feeding to react at all, or double, give it time to get going. As far as I know you are not supposed to freeze it, but I'm not sure you hurt it either... Thaw it, warm it and feed it a few days! Once its doubling good at a feed, its healthy, try a bake. Heck, bake with it if it doesn't double, it still makes good bread! The only time to worry is if it turns funny colors, pink, blue, green... thats bad, throw it all out and start over. Leave it without feeding for a long time it can get a dark liquid on it(alcohol), thats fine, drain it off and feed it a few times to get it going. I've had mine dormant for a year before. Just check for odd colors or smells before starting it again. Can dig around in the blog at king arthur flour site, they have a lot of articles for simple no worry sourdough, less kneading times, shorter proofs, relaxed feeding rituals and timing, and almost all of it without the handicap of weights... or at the lest they include Both measuring methods. I use both... if I have time I weigh it. if its a normal day I don't... it works about the same either way. Don't worry, be happy, make bread. :)

I've never been a homemade bread baker but this recipe gives me hope😊. My mother woumake bachelor bread when I was a child. After dad became diabetic she stopped making bread. She would bake it on top of the stove in what looked like an oversized omelet pan. We ate it for breakfast as biscuits n gravy. I wish I had her recipe!😢

I've made bread B4, when I had Time to!! This recipe is perfect !!! I live alone, & don't need tons of bread... & don't want to spend tons of $$$ for a loaf of bread (with who knows what in it; even if it's, "all natural,"... I'd like to share this, too, with my elderly neighbors. I'm sure they'd love it!! By the way, Sister in the Lord!! I love your kitchen decorations behind you!!! Two of my favorites!!! 💖🕊️💖

Thank you for this. Have been really wanting to make bread for yrs. But I remember how hard my mom worked on bread when I was lil. Now I am going to make some! One hour into into the rising process.. excited! Update. I did a double batch. This bread is soooo soft on the inside. Has that thin wonderful crunch on the outside. So easy and soo good. She's right.. u can't wait til it's cool. Too hard. Good thing I made two loaves!

Hi, you won't believe I made this today. Screwed up & had to make a double portion. But both loaves were wonderful. It was so easy. The way I screwed up was adding the entire packet of yeast instead of looking to see that the packet has 2.25 teaspoons but once doubled everything else ended great. Thank you so much for this great recipe. Especially thank you for the scriptures each time. Love your show.

I made my first two loaves of peasant bread last week. Both went down a treat with myself and my daughter. My best friend popped round and she tried a bit and loved it! So earlier tonight, I made another two loaves and wrapped them and stuck them in the freezer, for when she visits again tomorrow, and I can give her the two loaves. Thankyou for such an easy and cheap recipe xx

Thank you for this recipe. I broke it down to one-third…and I actually have a one-third teaspoon measuring spoon. I only have rapid yeast, so that’s what I used. Used my 4.5x2.5x1 inch silicone bakeware and my Cuisinart Toaster oven. It rose and baked beautifully. Initial rising time was an hour and 30 minutes for the second rising. This was by far the easiest bread recipe I have ever tried. I foresee more homemade bread in my future.

I buy flour in bulk because we seldom buy a loaf of bread, I usually make our bread once a week. However when I'm having a rough time with my physical disabilities my son or I will pick up a loaf of bread. That probably happens about every three to four months, because if I can stand in the kitchen I will make it myself. I keep my yeast in the freezer and it last a lot longer. If you grew like I did you could bet on having biscuits or cornbread with our meals, but if momma had just given birth to one of my younger siblings daddy would make hoe cakes. A good hoe cake is as good as a biscuit when you're hungry. Jesus is the bread of life! Thank God He came to save us!

You are so wonderful to watch. Especially love the way you say 'Iron', 'Arrin'. I had to laugh as you were cutting the hot loaf and you said, "... If you cut it while it's this hot, don't put a lot of pressure on it. DO MORE SAWING...". That was too funny. Great job. I've never had good luck with bread, all the kneading and stuff. I've gotta try this. A Happy Easter.

I am just discovered your channel and I am excited to try this bread recipe. Growing up in a family of 14, I made dozens and dozens of loaves of bread and rolls, and even cinnamon rolls for church on Sunday. I cannot believe I can bake in the same thing I mix this recipe up here. I’m definitely going to make bread as you pointed out. The cost savings is tremendous. You’ve given us a recipe. It is so easy and anybody who’s made Brad the old-fashioned way truly has to be excited about your recipe. You’re right, I spent hours and hours needing bread and coming back, punching it down and Rolling and leading it some more and putting it back in the bowl and going on about my workload until it raised up again for the second time and a lot of work and a lot of steps. Not to mention a lot more ingredients. This is gonna be fun to make, and so therapeutic, I do have one question, have you ever had a glass bowl break in the oven while it was baking bread? Looking forward to your next video.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
