When I grew up in Southern California in the 50's and 60's there were no really good fireworks available. Only when the family went to Montana or Wyoming was I able to get "the good stuff". Big fan of your excellent displays and in depth explanations. Keep up the great work Mr.B!!!!

Same. Its almost shameful now to go to the safe and sane tents with the low selection and high prices. I've got cases of canister shells, several 500g and 200g cakes, and novelties to last a lifetime. Fountains, spinners, sparklers and snakes are only good for until a certain age.

I live in one also, yet we have stands that sell the "Illegal" Fireworks that you can buy if you have an out of State I.D., yet you can't use them anywhere in the State!! I'm lucky enough to live near Wyoming, so I make the 75 minute drive and usually load up for the year spending around $3k. That way I get far more free stuff and a lot of "Help" in choosing more things to buy, but usually I've already done my homework, i.e. watched A TON of video's showing various Fireworks. So while I may take a few of their suggestions, the majority of what I buy I've already seen. I Love just the shopping part of Fireworks, and the excitement I get thinking about organizing them and firing them off. Ugghhh. Get me started on talking about Fireworks and I can't shut up!! LOL

I always use some fountains in my show. Some others that I like are: Maximum Overdrive, Little John, Blue Moon, Amazing, Talisman, and my Mom loves the Gingerbread Man, so I always get one of those too. With the duration and effects in some of these quality fountains, they're a great "bang for your buck" firework, that people young and old enjoy. Great way to start a family show slowly, letting people get acclimated to the loud sounds a little bit, before you get into the aerial part of your show. Heck, if I was on a tight budget and still wanted to do a little family show, I'd let the main body of the show be big fountains, then cap it off with a few aerials. You can buy a half a cart of good fountains for what a couple of 500g aerials cost in many places this year!

You can get earmuffs that have microphones on the outside, so you can hear clearly (or even with amplification) in non-loud environments, but they automatically shut off if DB levels get hazardous.

These are arguably more dangerous than their so-called “insane” fireworks.

@@PyroSeeker easier to burn you and cause fires, they have much fire close to the ground. Also, faulty fountains can be dangerous as the people will often stay close to the device. So when both are used properly, commonly more issues will arise with these. Irrational laws drive me off the deep end, I and I believe much of the rest of America are fed up. The people are eventually going to snap.

@@PyroSeeker More injuries and fires are caused by sparklers than any other firework. You literally hold it in your hand and it burns super hot. Get a child that panics, drops the sparkler and bam either a fire or injury. Or someone turns around into someone holding a sparkler. Also like said earlier, because of the "sane" part of fountains and sparklers people are less cautious with their use.
