I keep coming back to this tutorial, because it is so very helpful. It's amazing to watch you work and terrific to hear you explain all your thinking/process of why you are doing certain things. I'll be referring back to this a lot. Thank you so much. I have learned a lot from just this video

Excellent 👌 The precise control on charcoal and a random shape turned into a beautiful piece is amazing.

A pleasure to watch your videos, I am not left with questions or guessing so confidence is there. Concise, not too much talking and no superfluous information. Especially grateful that you added the info at the end, of what charcoal you used and why. Perfect!

I’ve been watching your stuff because I’m going to try to teach a still life class. A lot of this stuff is intuitive to me now so it’s nice to have someone explain it all.

Thank you for sharing your talent and fabulous art tutorials!! My only wish is that I lived closer so I could take class in person! (I will have to settle for your online classes). Again, thank you for sharing your talent, and all your AMAZING drawings and paintings. Not only are you an amazing artist, inspiration, and influence, but your teaching style is a tremendous gift to all that watch and learn.

@@YongChen Yes I enjoyed it. Thank you. I enjoy watching all your videos. I've been painting for 15 years now. Started at age 35. I now make a living from art, teaching art once a week at a private school and then running a studio/gallery. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into making these videos.

It is heavier on the side with the darker object because there is not enought air and space there. The sense of volume and tone are also lost
