I used to get that a lot because of what you are saying here.... But this dude's vocal inflections and idiosyncrasies are pretty reminiscent of early 2000's Em. You can tell he's heavily influenced by this. I really had to stop listening to music to sound how I wanted and I still feel like I'm biting Tech N9ne on occasion just because it rubs on you after so many years of looking up to these dudes as emcees. It's tough to find your own sound. When you do tho it's balls deep. I like this guy. Shit sounds super dope. I can see him taking some of the feedback from people and working harder at finding a way to separate his sound from his influence. He looks like he puts a lot of work and money into this shit for sure.
