When the older generation of Buddhist masters like 16th Karmapa, Dudgom Rimpoche, Dilgo Khyentse etc passed away I was really worried. But then younger generation like Khandro rinpoche, Khyentse norbu, Sangay Nyenpa Rimpoche, Mingyur Rinpoche ably filled up the vacancy. Namo Namo Namo Namo

Wait till you discover Lama Alan Wallace - he upholds the Dudjom Lingpa (who Dudjom Rinpoche is an emanation of) lineage and received it from Domang Gyatrul Rinpoche and Yangtang Rinpoche (Guru Rinpoche's regent). Not to mention his root guru is HH the Dalai Lama who he's been studying under for 53 years now.

I would like to hear more on the "difficult" aspect, not yogis' life, not a worldly practitioner's life, but the one path that guarantees enlightenment in ANY circumstance.

There is no guarantee because enlightment is a grace freely given to you. Elements of a possible path: 1. Fall in unconditional love (to perceive the hightest possible level of energy of body and soul) 2. Train your brain (ask philosophical why- and how-questions and search for the answer till to the ground of what is possible - when you reach the border, let the question go - after some days the answer will enter your consciousness automatically) 3. Kill your will (let go negative or childish emotions like greed, fury, hate, jealousy ... in situations they are getting high - just to transcend your ego)

It takes what the hallmark of Buddhism is; the union of shamatha (placement meditation of which one needs at least access to the threshold of the 1st jhana where you can remain in flawless samadhi for 4hrs. Fully accomplishing 1st jhana is even better where you can remain in flawless samadhi for 24hrs) and vipasanna (insight/inquiry meditation). First though is of course sila (ethics), one's foundation. Then samadhi. And then with your (before this you didn't have a mind, your mind had you!) mind that's now healthy, unified, calm, balanced, still, clear, bright, vivid, knowing, stable and content, engage in vipasanna and gain the insight into the true nature of reality (gain direct realization/experience of wisdom, prajna - the antidote to the root of suffering which is of course ignorance...). But practice vipasanna now and gain the insights and make the discoveries with a unified mind that gets completely saturated by and immersed in the discoveries and insights so that they become IRREVERSABLE - the truth goes in so deep that the delusions never recover! This is is how you get to marga, the path, the irreversible path to enlightenment. This is why the Buddha left the palace, not just to practice Dharma, he could've done that just fine from the palace. He was searching for something irreversible. & this is how you become a stream enterer and begin on the irreversible path of awakening and transformation. No going back to rookie mistakes like delusion, anger and craving. Plus you've overcome the five obscurations; hedonic fixation, dullness, anxiety/excitation, afflictive doubt/uncertainty, and malice/ill will/benevolence... Which means you are no longer in debt (the kind you can never repay), sick, in bonds, enslaved and lost in a desert track. Now you're an Arya and on your way to becoming an Arahat (a foe destroyer (your mental afflictions must be destroyed and they can only be cut at the root by way of the union of shamatha and vipasanna). Good luck. See Alan Wallace.
