I never saw enlisted as a historical reinactment game, just a game that lets you use historical vehicles and such in a historical setting. Alt history/experimental pew pews in a cold war era would be pretty fun. Any excuse to ride in a Huey and listen to Fortunate Son for the millionth time is a good one.

Enlisted will probably become like war thunder in the future with equipment from all eras. War thunder was also only ww2 vehicles in its first days but it has from all eras now. I hope it happens like this

Something I never see people talk about it is BR0 BR-1 (The First World War). Trench warfare and the WW1 tanks could be so interesting and could let Bolt actions and AT rifles shine.

The problem with adding in different era wars into Enlisted is that all factions need to benefit from the expansion. Although most factions can easily acquire various equipment and vehicles from the Cold War era, Japan will unfortunately fall behind in terms of Cold War era content which will disappoint many Japan mains should it come to it since their military advancement had been stagnated since the conclusion of WW2.

They should make north Korea a Soviet subfaction and SoKor as a US subfaction for the korean war. The Korean war should also have specific uniform assignmenments so that, for example you use an actual soviet squad in a korean war map, they switch to North Korean skins. A similar setup could be made for a Vietnam setup

So I could see a Korean war event campaign. By event campaign I mean that this would be something similar to what we used to have. The progress made during this event campaign could be kept and brought to the Vietnam war/cold ward campaign.

I think that if enlisted is going to add the cold war, they should do like a war selection and seperate it from ww2, so we don't see weird stuff like what you said about having tigers in vietnam. But I think that there is actually quite a lot of ww2 content still to be added like new factions china, finland, france, poland and also italy and brittain seperation. With these new factions, there would come pretty interesting theaters of ww2 that very few ww2 games have like chinese, polish, finnish, french and italian campaigns

War Thunder has some wacky implementation of Cold War stuff like how Germany can get both East and West German vehicles with some copied from other nations like T-55, T-72, MiG-15, BMP-1, early Pattons. Also War Thunder saw the use of obsolete tanks that never saw action after WWII in Cold War maps(e.g. Tigers, Panthers and King Tigers in Vietnam or KV-1 in Middle East) or driving modern vehicles in WWII maps namely T-90M and Leopard 2s in 1945 Berlin adding that to Soviet soldiers wearing WWII uniforms armed with AK-74s and AK-12s. Just more ideas of War Thunderdization in Enlisted that started since the merge.

This is 100% accurate, everyone thinks Gaijin will implement a different solution other than the War Thunder system, but the reality is we WILL see KV-1s in Vietnam in Enlisted one day, it's just how it has to be without jeopardizing the match maker and making 12 different queues like the old campaign system

I think the TLDR would be that yes it be great but given the faction diversity it will make it complicated for how Enlisted as a core is played. I don't see them making 1 or 2 factions specifically for one portion of the game and having ones like US be expanded into that portion. It just create a large divide in the playerbase that was. It works with War Thunder because the nations are mixed with each other, can't quite do that in Enlisted since it breaks the core of what Enlisted is. However i can see it working like this, if they add a seperate British and Italy tech tree then they can queue for all the battles of WW2. But maybe go on into the cold war era they can queue with the Allies or in this case NATO and the Soviets will be on their own side and they battle with nations like China and so on. The only way i can see it working is if these nations can play together on specific campaigns. Like Britain and US will pretty much be able to play every campaign together since they both fought in the same regions throughout history. And Germany/Italy and Japan would be against them during Ww2 era but on their side post Ww2 battling the russians and other communist factions. But that's the most logical way i see them doing it without completely breaking the core of Enlisted. And i feel like there should also be a bridge of this BR cannot be used in this BR to prevent Ww2 stuff being used in a modern setting. That i don't see them doing, but that's how i could picture it working. But in order to make all of this work they will have to enter the realm of fiction and create a Ww3 type of scenario which if they do that, then there's endless possibilities of locations to use.

Tbh, I only think the cold war era could work in Enlisted if we go alt history (cold war gone hot) in the 1980s. The best way to do this would be to simply create 2 new factions, Nato and the Warsaw Pact. This would keep the cold war content completely seperate from the ww2 content and players would be able to choose which time period they want to play in.

I do think that they should go to the Cold War but have that stop for Germany and Japan because at that point both nations are recovering and their military’s have been suspended till roughly Vietnam. Now in order to maintain balance the t34 shouldn’t see the 48 Patton variant but see the 46 and 47 because it can handle them a bit better. As for areas of conflict there are several options to choose from but I think they will go Korea first then Vietnam and then Afghanistan, but we should also see the all of the Arab-Israeli conflicts, hypothetical scenarios like the fulda gap and Cuba, and possibly then Angola war in South Africa. Besides what you already stated what they should do first they need to add more ww2 battlefields and work on making a bit more interesting game modes like have a ec (Enduring Confrontation)like mode so that they can use the maps in whole or make it like conquest from battlefield.

I think Vietnam would be very cool. what gaijin should do with NVA troops is make it apart of the Soviet tech tree. I think they should do that because they basically used the same weapons just different uniforms. There’s also a beta Vietnam war in the costume battles in enlisted and it’s built very well. the Cold War would be a hard topic tho. I would think that they should make a game just off of Vietnam and again that’s just what I think.

the problem is that this new battle could fit well in the old type of campaign system. You could divide it into chapters like: ww2-cold war and if you really didn't want the modern one, maximum gulf war. With the new merge it would be a bit funny to see the germans/japanese/usa with ww2 weapons in vietnam..

I think they should have a system implemented where the WWII stuff is separate from the Cold War era games. Because I don’t like the Cold War I think it’s ok to have some Cold War vehicles here in there in the WWII setting because the Cold War started right after WWII ended to it makes sense to see some Cold War vehicles but if they do start adding alot of Cold War vehicles they are going to need to separate the Cold War equipment from the WWII equipment similar to the campaign system.

I personally don't like the idea of going into Cold War era. While more modern weapons, vehicles, and equipment would be interesting, it would completely change the way the game plays. For example, Assault Rifles can't be limited to just Assaulters anymore. With even the earliest AKs and M16s becoming the standard-issue rifle, almost every single class will have to have access to Assault Rifles. With aircraft pilots, Tankers, and Snipers being the exception. In terms of vehicles and aircraft, you would have everyone be pivoting to jet engine powered aircraft and the introduction of helicopters for logistics and for fire support. Starting back as early as the Korean War, if anyone here has seen the old M.A.S.H show. In terms of tanks, Light tanks still existed to some degree. However, there would eventually be no more Medium and Heavy tanks as things began to center around a Main Battle Tank or MBT. Along with the eventual introduction of more advanced munitions to be able to penetrate more advanced composite armor plating. Korea would be easy enough to add as a lot of WW2 equipment was still being used and would probably label it as the actual end of BR 5. Anything beyond that would completely change the way everyone would have to approach battles because of the more advanced tech. On top of the fact that Japan as a nation would pretty much be sidelined as, as far as I'm aware, they didn't do much after surrendering in WW2. Along with Germany being split in two after the war. The whole focus would be on the US and Soviets for anything beyond existing BR 5.

@@TheKraken25 OR at least keep the WW2 side closed, like a "campaign" like it was pre merged for each campaigns, where you went back to change campaigns Here you'd have a "campaign" about WW2, start to end of WW2 Then another "campaign" centered on cold war stuff Korea as BR I, Viet Nam as BrIII for example.... Then again maybe another campaign about the GWOT and Middle East ECT..... Maybe even WW1, as a smaller campaign?

I would like vietnam, Korea, cold war scenarios but please do not mix tech trees with ww2 like war thunder did. Also, we have to add France 1940, Finland, Poland, Manchuria, etc. campaigns and their respective factions before we start getting crazy with the cold war. I came to enlisted to get a semi realistic fun ww2 experience to get away from wt, which forgot how to provide that. I want enlisted not wt with infantry.
