I respect your opinion, however I find the Ka-Chi to be very useful and is a pretty decent tank, sure it does not have the MG, might not be as good as the American tanks. But it has couple of upsides that I find very it amazing and fun to use. First up is the 7 man squad which are pretty good assaulters, I equip all of my crew with a large backpack which can allow for extra tools and 2medpacks, I also focused on upgrading the perks that improves combat efficiency to the crew except for the gunner, loader and driver, which specifically I opt for the 20% reload speed increase perk for the loader and it makes the 47mm even more powerful as the reload speed is even quicker. This tank can also be used in all BRs as the gun is pretty good at anti-tanking and I can just equip the crew with smgs of the respective BR. If you are familiar with it you can try to angel yourself with the 50mm front armor at the front that serves as a pretty good shield as most likely the enemy can’t penetrate it. Another thing I find it very fun to use is it a lot more unorthodox tactics which if you know the maps well, you can catch the enemy by surprise, as a matter of fact it does a pretty good job on breaking stalemates on a objective as I usually would bring the tank into the water at a considerable distance then snipe enemies far way until I land at a point where I can attack from the enemy’s rear, and deploying my troops directly at the objective. Tactics like these have won me a lot of games and because it serves both as a tank that can do things most tanks can’t and a pretty powerful assaulted squad, the Ka-Chi is quite flexible. On top of that, it is a premium squad that will not take up your normal vehicle slot so you can play 2 tanks in the same game. So in my opinion, I like using the Ka-Chi as my main tank.

I totally agree, I prefer to use large backpack on my driver/commander with the rest with grenade pouches and I use it for breaking defensive stalemates and assault objectives with a 2 man by having my friends weak squad take over the gun for use as an emplaced gun

The mg on the back of the turret and the two 50s on the back of the LVT not working are the biggest middle finger they could've given. That's not even metioning the hurricane winds they endure when touching water. We need to petition. lol

At launch of that campaign and few months post launch it wasn't that bad. You could survive few shots from punny american cannons before they added Shermans, Jumbos, and Pershing and destroy those tiny annoying Stuarts. Right now it's just bad, low caliber gun, weak armor, too big of a target and ofc lack of mg, you are also super vulnerable against planes and anyone that could build at gun/carry rocket launcher. I wish they would turn it into APC squad so at least we could still use it as a mobile spawn point, same with the soviet M3.

This was an awesome premium when it first came out with the Pacific update. The 47mm was better than the Ha-go and Ke-ni tanks, and it couod actually withstand 50 caliber and 37mm rounds frontally unlike the tech tree offerings. That said, at BR1-2, you might be better off using the Chi-Ha premium, and by Br2, you should be bringing the 75mm gun tanks and tank destroyer.

it resists shaped charges and tnt charges extremely well, it has a massive crew which can be used as mechanized infantry or replacements, and at BR 2 its 47mm is better then pretty much any 37 or short 75 the Americans can throw at it, it can frontally penetrate Sherman's, and on top of that the high velocity 47 is a good analog to the russian/american 57 and it is decent when used as a sniper.

Just like others have said, I just use it as an armoured vehicle to drop my full squad going directly to the point. If I don't make it at least it provides bigger cover for the friendly infantry. I do agree do to it's massive size its a big target, But you can use that to your advantage. I noticed after dismounting my squad to attack the object, the enemy is still trying to destroy the tank instead ignoring and defending the capture point. Apart from 09:48 the only other more viable use is going into the water. Is when attacking the Canoe hut (can't remember the map name). Since your team is trying to cross on the west side of the objective on land you can go to the east side in the water and do a "beach landing" there. Lastly, I've never been killed by bombs while in the water. I always hear it drop at the ocean floor under me. But it has never killed me. Rockets on the other hand only in a direct hit.
