I’ve always just seen them as the ultimate bromance. I think there is a love there, but not the one that some hope for. I just don’t see it with these guys. My favourite aspect of their relationship is that when they first meet, it’s obvious and clear that Genos only cares about attaining the same god like level of saitama’s power, but over time, he doesn’t care about it as much as he used to. Even know the creator says Saitama and genos aren’t in love this song kind of sounds like genos likes Saitama a lot but just can’t confess but Saitama doesn’t really think of genos of a lover sadly so I feel this is like what genoses is feelings as it says “as I admire the strength” and as it says “oh my love when are you coming home” in Saitama head it would be “oh genos when are you coming home” as because genos is class S so he has a lot of missions and also the song (genoses mind) says but maybe once in a while show me your tears?” But Saitama has almost no emotion so I think genos means he wants Saitama to show his feelings to genos to feel like Saitama trusts him (DONT EVEN ASK HOW OR WHY I COMMENTED A WHOLE PARAGRAPH)
