Come to Ennis- where our only goal is to beautify the useless downtown district for rich stay at home ladies who lunch. Railroad runs North South, busy State Hwy runs East West, no parking downtown, so no merchants and "walkable" means parking 2 to 3 blocks away and sweating through your clothes before lunch. EISD isn't where you should look if you want to give your children an education. Maybe drive them to the private Catholic school in Waxahachie. This is a working town. High taxes and city services which have steadily gotten worse as the years go by. Shopping- drive to Waxahachie. Restaurants other than fast food - drive to Waxahachie. (Good luck if it's a drag race weekend.) You mention Alma? Nothing but a truckstop and a speed trap. Maybe look at Midlothian or Waxahachie if you want to raise a family. Not here. No community left. City doesn't try or want to try to engage citizens. Don't expect any questionnaire asking what WE need. Mayor and City Council run everything and dont want to hear from residents.

You have literally nailed the description of useless Ennis tx on the head...I hate this crappy little town nothing to do and everything that is of use is way out of town doctors, good restaurants..and it always smells like something just burning or sewage in the air...

Just went to the blue bonnet festival yesterday for the first time from Saginaw Texas. 55 what a beautiful city loved it hope to relocate out their in retired navy disabled vet can I get my name out their in the veterans park if not living out there yet I would love to a beautiful park

No it is not great to luve here no city expansion.. just houses upon each other and tons of schools to get your taxes nice and high crappy hospital/er ennis regional..not much to do here go to Walmart or HEB we do have a drive un movie theater and a Soecs liquor....no opportunities for kids to move onto...it us quiet but not a fun pkace especially for youth....

He forgot to mention we have a Buc-ee's 😂we are also NOT a woke community it's primarily republicans and we have a huge Czechoslovakian community hence why we are the home of the National Polka Festival. It a great place to raise a family just leave the woke crap behind! ✌
