Finally pulled the trigger on one, glad I did. I would probably recommend the xl straps though. Ran into a problem with the regular size. Don’t know how I feel about the spreader bar.

dose it comes in an 11" as the 10" is too small

I bought a Jungle Nest last year and hang it from a stand in my yard. The ridge line sags a fair bit when I am inside the hammock and I can’t get it tighter. Is that me, or the hammock? The pole keeps the net up but the saggy ridge line doesn’t seem right. No sagging when I’m not inside.

Sounds like the stand is too small for the hammock. What stand is it? There are only a few that work with bigger hammocks -- especially camping hammocks. To get the hammock to lay correctly, you want to have that ridge line taut.

I have found that hanging my ten foot hammock from two trees that are around 15 feet apart, or basically five places, is the ideal distance. I like the ENO 2.0 based upon your review, but I am concerned about the suspension system, and that it boxes you in to a certain hanging distance. I use the very strong, and very lightweight Ultimate hammock straps, which are each ten feet long, with many loops, so creating various hanging distances is not a problem. By the way, Ultimate Hammock Straps no longer available for several years as far as I can tell. The ENO 2.0 looks generally good.

Perfect! Plus, the new JungleNest has a ridge line so it locks in the hang angle making it easy to get the perfect lay every time.

Hi, I really wanted to see how a 5'6"-6' person would fit in this hammock and lay flat. That in my view is the most important feature of any overnight hammock setup: comfort of the lay. I have a Eureka Chrysalis and 49th Parallel hammocks (both Canadian manufacturers) to compare to. Chrysalis is in a league of its own and its not a light weight hammock, but it's very comfortable to sleep in. 49th Parallel however is a 11' hammock that's gathered end just like ENO. I'd love to hear and see more of how you lay in it and is it perfectly flat like my 49th.

Yes these two hammocks are completely different styles. Impossible to compare a bridge hammock with a gathered end. The Chrysalis structure provides a flat lay by design but gathered end have a more ergonomic flat lay. The ENO in this video works like any other gathered end and I found it very comfortable when compared with similar styles.

You think 10' isn't enough for flat lay?

@@1przemian absolutely not. I’ve owned 9, 10, 11, and 12 ft hammocks. The eleven is bare minimum needed. My Warbonnet eldorado and dutchware chameleon wide are the only hammocks I’ve laid in where the comfort and difference was immediately noticeable. It’s why I took my eldorado on the Appalachian trail with me.

There’s a lot to unpack here and I knew it would spark a debate. But I will defer this point: it can be easier to get a flatter lay with a longer hammock. That said, I’ve got a lot of hang time on small hammocks and I’ve found that the size (really the ratio of length to width) of the hammock is just one variable. How you hang (hang angle), How tall you are, and the fabric stretch all affect the lay. The hammock community tends to simplify the equation to “hang with 30°” as if that solves every problem. It’s a good start but I’ve found I can dial in short hammocks to be as comfortable (hint: start with a shallower hang angle like 15-20°). I guess what I’m saying is don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. Those of us who cut our teeth on the first camping hammocks in the market - Hennessy, Clark, and Speer - those were short 9.5 feet hammocks and we thought they were divine. I’ve spent a lot of time on the proverbial work bench trying to figure this out. Hammock camping is not always simple. I’ve tried for years - and published a few books as a result - to try and make it simple for folks but it still requires some effort and practice and trial. If you’ve found a hammock that works for you than I am pleased. But your choice doesn’t negate other hammocks. This new JungleNest is leaps beyond ENOs first attempts and I stand by my review that it has really dialed in a comfortable solution, comparable to many cottage vendors.

@@theultimatehang yes you mention shallower angle. When you have adjustable ridgeline you can play with that. My 49th Parallel and this ENO you reviewed has a set ridgeline and that's to help people achieve the angle intentionally set by the manufacturer. All I want to know if given your height, predestined ridgeline and how the hammock is eventually set, can you achieve a comfortable flat lay that someone of similar height can have as well. Let's get some things explained as well: I'm not suggesting you're biased because of the fact ENO asked you to review jungle hammock 2.0 (far from it). I also own your Ultimate Hang 2.0 book and I have referred to it while researching my choices.
