Imagining there are people like this but never made it is scary. I hope they're fine.

Normal people do it while doing part work, so it's no problem. He had no money because he had quit his part-time job. When they don't have voice acting work, they have nothing to do so they usually do part-time work. The same situation would be the case for new actors in America.

And above all, they exaggerate these stories to liven up the atmosphere. Don't take these stories for granted

I only got to know Enoki Junya from Jujutsu Kaisen and I'm glad to see that he's becoming popular this last few years. His story reminds me of Kaji Yuki from when he still was an unknown seiyuu and during the time when he was broke, he got hand-me-down clothes from Sakurai Takahiro and now he has become one of the top seiyuu in Japan.

The most amazing thing out of this to me isn't the personal backstory but that both him and Yuji have gone through an intensely desperate situation as a result of having gone to pachinko that one time.

What he said about "started getting more jobs after a certain Card Game Anime" was actually true, the first time I saw Junya's performace was with Cardfight!! Vanguard G's Shion Kiba back in 2014 (he was also the co-host of the Anime's radio show alongside Mark Ishii as the show was airing). SInce then, I started seeing him in more projects such as; Beyblade Burst, a filler role in Boruto, JoJo Part 5, JP dubbing Tom Holland's Spider-Man, & now JJK & Honkai Star Rail. Honestly, as someone who has been following him since 2014, I couldn't be more happier for the guy, he clearly earned it. I find also quite fascinating that out of all the rookies & no-name Seiyus that Cardfight!! Vanguard G was filled with, Junya was probably the only one who survived the industry & ends up getting his name appeared in multiple projects (more often than not, famous projects).

I wish him all the best because he deserves the recognition he is currently gaining for his dedication. I hope he gets more roles in the future and become a notable name in the seiyuu industry.

This is simply so unbelievable for me! His voice is one of the finest Ive heard. It’s so different & beautiful! It’s so unfair that someone so talented like him had to struggle so much! I’m glad he’s finally getting all the recognition he deserves … more power to him 💪🏻

Most seiyuu are all suffering in their starting like, that level of suffering is seriously crazy, his story is one of the harshest after TsudaKen's. Glad things finally worked out for them, fr.

Your country's less successful actors and singers don't get paid as much as him, so they do part-time work. The same situation would be the case for new actors in America.

I don’t know much about Enoki and I can’t say I’m a fan of his work, but I have to admit that he’s quite brave for coming out about his past, especially the part about pachinko. Following your channel has really piqued my interest in him ngl

honestly same, i only know him from when he's cast as Itadori and Nasa. And I just thought he's one of those lucky guy with good genes and voice who got 2 big role and fame around the same time. But binge-listening to Tonikawa Radio and Kamikasu Radio, plus I stumbled a lot with old live stream from unpopular titles where happened to had him on it, I notice how earnest he did what he did, with still openly reckoning it as a 'job'. Moreover some little sentiments that i learned like how he just left studio/event immediately feeling glad not needing to talk to anyone again, with music on his ear (said Kito Akari who walk home watching his back) made me feel the similar energy on how i handle my own hardships. He may not the most fun-active male seiyuu around but i just feel like i should learn from him.

I got to know him from JJK too... I was re-watching JJK S1 like I was on steroids when S2 just came out. I miss juju-sanpo and some of the light-heartedness of S1 like crazy. In the process of rewatching S1 so many times, I kinda fell for EnoJun's voice. It's so kind and boyish and so, so endearing. Despite being 35 years old his voice fit Itadori to a tee. Nowadays I seek more and more animes with him in it. Excuse me, let me listen to juju-sanpo 'A day off wandering' for the hundredth time haha

tbh! after HSR introduced me further to his other works like jjk, scarlet nexus and tonikawa, i actually support him more now especially the rough time he went early on as a seiyuu.

This is true. But it also makes me wonder if he did it out of desperation as well. I had a friend who was in a similar situation where she would go play Bingo at a casino in the hopes of doubling her money to pay off taxes that she owed.

A lot of seiyuus had struggle while being in the school of seiyuus or their first years before getting successful, which not everyone get to become. In other case they survive because they had side jobs but I understand if you want to actually become successful you need to focus in only one thing. But maybe Enojun shouldn't have spent the little money he had on pachinko if he was in that condition he just made it worse by waste the little money he had 😅

Both Tsunda and him are generous in sharing their experience which are inspiring, the determination and the sanity not to give up and also I like that they really specified the hardships they've been through which makes it really relatable🤌❤️so real❤️🤌🤘
