Man, that microLED looks good. Repairable too! Price is insane though.

150.000 is too much, 3-5k seems reasonable for a size of 50-65" ideally

Only $150k for that microLED? I want 4 by next week! 😎 No but seriously, i've been a fan of microLED since they announced it a couple of yrs. ago at CES. I fell in love and i hope that some day, i'll be able to get one! At the moment i'm enjoying my 75" QN900B though! 😀

Yeah, they will come down in price. We already have a few different players planning some lower cost units

@@DivineAV Well that's great news! These are the first steps. It will still take a little while, but when first steps are taken, that's really the start of everything! I remember seeing it the first time on KZbin on CES and i was so wowed by it! But i can only imagine when i'm standing right in front of it! This is the one tech that can't come quick enough for me! 😀

For the price of their 110" there better be at least a 5 year warranty. Price needs to come down a lot.

Yea, new tech so hopefully that drops. A bit steep. We are still big projection fans at the moment. GTZ 380 is 10000 lumens and is cheaper

So I guess a 32 inch 4k tv is actually way more detailed than an 85 inch 4k. But if they can make pixels small enough to fit 4k in a 32 inch, then couldn't they do 16k in an 85 inch?
@DivineAV11 ай бұрын
Correct and they definitely could do 16 K on an 85 inch but at this point it’s not really necessary because there’s no content and that’s kind of going beyond human vision

With a tv that large you need the higher resolution
@B1-Han Жыл бұрын
because it's marketing. Almost infinite resolution is actually the only thing LCD technology does well. This is their strong side and they demonstrate it. They should complain that there is no 8K content and there won't be for a very long time)

The people who can afford it have access to 8K movie content via premium services not available to the masses.
@DivineAV Жыл бұрын
@@Solus793 that is definitely true to a certain extent, but we will be seeing some more main stream 8k soon www.tomsguide.com/news/8k-content-for-your-8k-tv-is-finally-here-but-only-in-small-doses
@B1-Han Жыл бұрын
@@Solus793 8K movie content? Are you serious? Most movies today are still mastered in 2k. In the next 10-20 years, don't even expect 8K content. The physical capabilities of hardware and energy consumption are not unlimited. Even today, streaming services cannot provide true 4K content. They are forced to reduce the bitrate of the stream to a level that is twice as low as on 1080p Blu-ray.
@B1-Han Жыл бұрын
@@DivineAV this is marketing manipulation) No film is shot in 8K today. The maximum resolution during mastering is 4K (in complex scenes with CGI, it is usually 2k mastering). That is, in any case, 8K movie trailers will be upscaled from 4K or 2K. Second, there is a big difference between delivering 8K content from media directly to a TV and broadcasting 8K content on streaming platforms. The bandwidth of Internet networks is not unlimited. The network will not be able to transport such "heavy" files. The only way out is to lower the bitrate of 8K content (just like they do with 4K content today). But in this case, we will get 8K, which in dynamic scenes will look worse than 720p)) I think these 8K movie trailers will not go outside the TV stores. Their only goal is to help 8K TVs make some sense. But once a duped buyer brings their 8K TV home and starts watching real content, they won't see real 8K for a very very long time. The problem is that LCD TV manufacturers and content makers live in different realities. It's relatively easy to print a liquid crystal layer, they can scale it without a problem. But it is much more difficult and much more expensive to record, edit, process and distribute even 1080p content.

The tv screen becomes amazing, but the tv content sucks.
