Which would be the better option if you were to choose from RP 500 CII, RP 404 CII or RP 504 CII?
@Demonoid199010 күн бұрын
I'm looking at the RP 1000SW for my setup here soon, a long with either the Pioneer VSX 305 or 505 Elite AVR. I'm kinda new to dedicated audio setup, more familiar with PC stuff.. I'm just wondering if I'd need a dedicated AMP for the sub or not. Does it have the power simply built in? I've done some car/auto audio before, but first time dabbling in a full on home theater setup. I'm pretty much doing a full on 5.1.2 setup and plan on going with Klipsch's entry level RP II line up.

@@dvspot yep, the old ones are a bit more powerful as they had to reduce them just a bit and make the cabinet larger to nearly eliminate port chuffing. This video is concerning as i was about to pull the plug on a LS12000. Ive seen it look a lot better than you portray here. This showing is admittedly 2 yrs old and the Epson is still a current model in their line up. Not sure if the Sony is ! There was a recent Epson software update, like June '24, not sure what it addressed. Im going to search your more recent videos and hope the Epson has come around. My local dealer sells both brands, but its obvious to anyone they prefer Sonys lineup. That may simply be due to profitability, but their highest end demo room is an amazing Sony. I have not asked them which model, but just walking in the room, i can tell its beyond my pocket ! Its sourced with a Kaleidoscape $$$.
@DivineAVАй бұрын
@@Kiwi-ot3wz thank you so much for watching. Yes the Epson was updated and it is now significantly sharper. There’s benefits to both projectors. The Epson has overall a bit higher built quality and it has advanced geometric correction for curved screens and other situations. Is about equal and both projectors are current lineup. Prices the same and Dealer margin is nearly identical so there shouldn’t be any dealer pushing one unit over the other. We sell both projectors. Put them side-by-side, the Sony is slightly sharper, but color accuracy might be a bit better on the Epson. You’ll be satisfied with either Projector when it’s in your house and not being directly compared to another Projector. We do need to do an updated video for sure. If you’re in the DFW area and the best demonstrations, give us a call. if not, work with your local dealer and he, or she should be able to point out the exact pros and cons of each unit. We greatly appreciate you watching and subscribe for more :-)

Great TV. It would be interesting to see if MicroLeds will catch up. My main concern is the reflective glass panel, especially if used in a bright room with a direct light source coming through a window, for example.
@DivineAVАй бұрын
@@michaeldee3380 yeah we asked him about that. He said that they can make this in a matte finish if the market demands it. But you get a higher perceived contrast with the blacks using the gloss
@michaeldee3380Ай бұрын
@@DivineAV Yes, most people will probably opt for the reflective glass panel as it provides better perceived contrast but most importantly also sharpness. I have never seen a MicroLED in person but these all appear to be in a matte finish. Prices for certain models like the Lunar Walls I think they're called are starting to fall. I give it another five or ten years tops before this technology becomes mainstream. The 115 inch TCL looks very appealing but its sheer size/bulk and weight make it a difficult sell for most people.
@DivineAVАй бұрын
Yes, agree, 100%. Now, some of the TVs are using the actual screen to play audio but it’s not anywhere near the quality that all of us require. Some of the new receivers like Sony allow for a center channel on the top and bottom of the screen and you can toe them upward and downward, allowing for imaging from the center of the screen. You have companies like Ascendo doing things like the black swan. Many different options and we should see the industry continue to evolve.

It may just be how cameras handle capturing projected image but I am not that enamored by this demo. Looked quite bad honestly. On another note, I’m so displeased how and why HDR came about in general. This color volume and EOTF trickery combined with competing “standards” just to create a watchable image that doesn’t have a veil over it is just the whole industry gone bad. What reference plasma sets and Blu-Ray discs managed to achieve with standardized calibration was the peak. It has gone downhill just by the fact how different an oled, an LCD, a projector handles contrast and thus “HDR”. Everything is snake oil marketing that compromise the fundamental of a great image: black levels.

@DivineAV4 ай бұрын
@@Mortagleus depends on the build, but most likely exactly the same. In the United States the majority of walls are going to be 2 x 4 or 2 x 6. From inside out: sheet rock, insulation in stud cavity, Osb sheathing, vapor barrier, exterior finishing solution. There wouldn’t be a vapor barrier on the sheetrock side because then it would lock in moisture between the studs. If you’re talking about mass loaded vinyl or something like that, you would need to use a back box with mass loaded vinyl, completing the circuit. Let me know if that answers your question. Thanks buddy.
@DivineAV4 ай бұрын
I’m realizing, perhaps you’re talking about putting an in wall speaker to play into an exterior space like a patio. If that’s the case, cut the hole out first using a jigsaw, Get a specific back box for the speaker that you’re trying to use, cover the entire backside of the box with something like Dynamat, Put Weather strip around the inside of the speaker lip prior to installation, install the speaker securely. If it’s an in ceiling speaker, like on a patio, if you have access above, use an insulating dome and poly seal that against the ceiling material. Then install your ceiling speaker.

The 504 is more refined than the RC64. Sounds like the crossover is higher on the 504, so slightly less mids coming through the horn. Having said that, there’s more clarity and energy in the 64 - especially on the vocals. And still refined enough to not sound too harsh. It would be a hard choice. I noticed this previously when comparing the old RC or RB line with the newer RP series. Something can possibly be missing when it comes to excitement. Both are forward heavy on the mids and treble, but I like the RC and RB series for some reason. Maybe not as clinical but the clarity on them is out of this world. Especially the second and third generation. Probably can find them way cheaper now too.
