Why would you craft an entire combat system with skills, weapons, etc. and then slap on a pokemon elemental system on top of it? It honestly would be a stronger game if that just wasn't there

wait hold up, that status weakness/resistance system was not in the demo, right? I feel like it was just a cool spin on status effects having negative AND positive effects- why on earth would they add a rock-paper-scissors system on top of it?

36:00 Well, Elden Ring had a huge boss in the very opening area that more or less blocked your path. You either fought it and got your ass handed to you till you got stronger, or just went around it and came back later. Though the enemy does not really scream boss to me.

Yeesh. Too many statuses rhat do too much with too many text boxes with too many words, why take a perfectly good system and slap that shit on top of it. It almost feels like they came up with the mask swap system and then had to come with a reason for you to use it when most players are just gonna brute force past it anyway.
