Hi! Since there are still only a few comments, I'll take the opportunity to make a small parenthesis about the pronunciation of Italian names. Often, Italian car names are in Italian, and this creates quite a few difficulties in pronunciation, especially in English-speaking countries. How many different pronunciations of the Ferrari "12 cilindri" have I heard? In any case, you nailed the pronunciation of "Veloce," but got "Speciale" wrong. The only simple thing about Italian is that all the letters written are pronounced (except for the "h") and always in the same way (I’m trying to simplify). So, "Veloce" (literally FAST-SPEEDY) is pronounced exactly as you said. "Speciale" also ends with "e," and in Italian, it sounds the same way, like "Stradale" and "Veloce": all consistent. I also remember the campaign by the Versace brand: "It's Versace, not Versaci" - search it up! To be very very precise, "cia" in "Speciale" is pronounced like "cha" in "gotcha!" Correct pronunciation isn’t that important, but we all make an effort to pronounce foreign words decently according to our native language, just as you do. Thanks for making the effort!

I really do like the way it looks. But you really can tell it’s related to the FIAT 600, it’s only slightly bigger than the Corsa and 208, so rear space isn’t really a problem.

Ibrida have same floor like EV. It have only slightly bigger boot by 15 liters. I find normal seats better for room on back seats because in order to get comfy seating position in those sabelt i had to sit low and far from steering wheel which squeezed room on back seats to bare minimum. On normal seats i can sit comfy and close to steering wheels because i can spread my legs which are not pinched by massive sides of of those sabelts. I would love those sabelts, but had to sacrifice them for room for kids on back seats.

I'll wait for the Hybrid Veloce, if they do one? It will probably represent better value and it will be easier to live with.

I really like the Junior, its a little bit different fron the others B segment EV. Of course is not 100% Alfa Romeo and has to have some Stellantis components around but overall i think that stands out from all his cousins and competitors. I prefer the Veloce if i have to get one. Thanks for the test. 👌🇮🇹💨🏁

We actually have a Juke review coming out in early March, but you'll have to wait until a bit later this year when we get to test the Junior Ibrida (hybrid) 🙂 If you're happy with an EV though, the Junior Speciale is very good!

Stellantis really proving how to squander everything by chasing the bare profit putting too many eggs in premium SUVs and premium anything else My heart goes out to the Fiat500e given how cynical it gas been treated. That 500e could have had an Alfa Miito variant, a Panda varient, a Citroen C1/C2, Opel Adam etc. But no, hundreds of millions spent on a brand new A segment EV gets only one model of car made unsustainably posh built alongside Maseratis, while Stellantis has been busy pumping out many varients of crossover SUVs at a dizzying pace. Think about it under the Fiat badge, the 500e, 600e and Pandagrande are all mechanically unrelated to eachother but the 500e being the only nonSUV shares zero cousins under the Stellantis umbrella.

"If it is not successful it would be the end for Alfa Romeo" I hear the lame same excuse since the introduction of 147! 😂😂 I'll pass this time and stick with my trusty 159 sportwagon! 🐍
@EduCLSКүн бұрын
There is a very big difference and that is that at the time of the 147 Alfa Romeo had many distributors worldwide and Chinese cars did not exist. Today it is almost impossible to find an Alfa Romeo dealer and Chinese electric cars are way ahead in quality. Get into any Xpeng, BYD, LiAuto, Zeeker, etc. and you will see that there is a world of difference between that and Alfa Romeo.

@@EduCLS Sorry mate, I don't get paid millions from Exxor to run their businesses, so they must grow some balls and own their 💩 If they are getting wrecked by lunatic 🇪🇺 bureaucracy they should fight back! So they had one last chance and made….. this 😂😂😂they deserve to go bust then, full of lunatics thinking this was a good idea. If they’d have made a 2.0 hot hatch they’d have a much better chance, if they’d have made a 3.0 saloon and estate they’d have a much better chance. Hell if they’d have made a cheap car with no tech or anything and sold it for 12-15k they’d have had a chance. How many people working there? And they come up with this? A crossover EV of all things. Why is anyone going to get that over a Tesla?

The Governments ‘EV mandate’ is forcing manufacturers into a space they’re not ready to deal with, and will cripple many of the big players. If it has any hope of working/ persuading buyers into EVs, there should be government backed incentives at the consumers end too!
@cinch2 күн бұрын
It does seem like it’s falling short of intentions in the new car world. Do you think EV grants should return?
@mgmarrison2 күн бұрын
@cinch No silver bullet unfortunately, but I’d suggest for the average person, money talks… If buyers were being offered thousands more for their part Ex. (If they go electric), this helps brings down the monthly repayments and critically the consumer must be offered the right advice to help explain what they’re buying into and if it fits their lifestyle then logic dictates the mandate targets are more likely to be hit. In addition, the government could pay for home chargers… circa £1000 outlay is too much for many.
@KeyBrosUK2 күн бұрын
@@mgmarrisonwhen you say government you actually mean tax payer. Why should I pay for someone to have a home charger fitted when they could buy a new petrol /hybrid that’s really clean? Investing in bio fuels should be the way we go regardless and only for tailpipe emissions around town because this co2 stuff is lunacy. Anyone that buys into that, considering levels are actually dangerously low, is a moron.
@mgmarrison2 күн бұрын
@@KeyBrosUK I agree with much of what you’ve said, and you’re right that electric vehicles are not the full solution - however it’s also fair (I feel) that electric vehicles (not just cars) do have a place when applied correctly. Your question of ‘why you should have to pay’ is valid, but unfortunately, it’s as old as the tax system itself - there are plenty of other areas/ topics where money is spent and that question is asked… My suggestions are merely as a result of the governments agenda and actions (strain) being placed on our car industry, and unless something changes - I don’t think much good will come of any of it. 👍
@EduCLSКүн бұрын
@@KeyBrosUK The solution is to open up markets and let people buy cheap electric cars. Subsidies don't work because they create a false demand that ends up inflating prices. If subsidies worked then houses would be worth less and less and that is not the case. When in China you have electric cars for less than 10 thousand euros and in Europe the cheapest electric car costs 30 thousand then whether the car is electric or not is not the problem. On the other hand, biofuels are not the solution because they end up eroding a lot of arable land in order to produce them. Although many people do not like it, the solution is nuclear energy.
