Wow, marketing breakthrough. My mom was into the first ever wave of crystals back in the 80s because New Age wasn't a thing before in our province, but there was never talk of 'charging' and 'it chooses you' talk. The thing was that crystals had properties and you chose the one you needed the most. Or bought a colleciton and when you needed to have courage, you'd take the 'eye of the tiger' stone or something as it was its main property. I guess that only sold that much books and crystals so the industry came up with charging and what not. Proud to say I got out of my mom's New Age fads and I'm superstitious free. Don,t even believe in crossing fingers. I only believe in mathematical statistical chances of things happening. So liberating!

Eagle 367 I went to the doctor and the medicine he prescribed made my acne even worse. Acupuncture works by bringing blood flow to places associated with some organs in your body. After I did acupuncture, my acne slowly healed and never came back. I’m sorry but western medicine isn’t always the answer. And there’s a reason why TCM has been around for thousands of years.

@@holisticmaya I'm sorry but it's not Western medicine, it's modern medicine. And what it does is look at what works, identifies the key ingredients associated and uses them to make medicine or therapy routines. Of course new research completely unrelated to ancient medicine happens a lot as well. And chinese medicine has been around for so long because humanity didn't understand medicine and how things truly work so they developed anecdotal techniques which they think would work. And since before the age of industrialization, humanity's state didn't change much from hundreds to thousands of years at all, especially in medicine. Modern medicine goes all around the world, from shamans to old Chinese healers etc and puts their methods to the test to determine what is just garbage convention and what is actual medicine. So if acupuncture works as a technique, you'll see modern doctors using it right now or in the future. You never know until you research it further. But your reasoning certainly isn't it. If you think modern medicine scoffs at transitional medicine then you are wrong, but are there very unnecessary techniques that might do nothing ie harm the person in fact, them yes there are many. I do scoff at people who keep doing it, even after the fact especially harmful stuff like cupping (for most cases). Something that is old or ancient doesn't mean it's right or has a higher standard. And the fact of the matter remains that your one anecdotal evidence won't do much for the case of acupuncture. Actual research probably exists and you should look into that. It's not eastern vs western by the way. It's not even ancient vs modern. All of humanity's ancient knowledge is improved in modern medicine and of course missteps exist, but look outside, we don't have huge infectious diseases causing epidemics and pandemics everywhere or most children dying at a young age
