Oh dear. THIS. IS. BAD. I see too many “you go girl “ type comments -can’t your fake accolades be at least a scintilla original. This is the opposite-polar opposite, of anything even remotely funny. There is this weird frenetic movement and facial contorting. Who’s idea was the fugly green on green...pantsuit? Are those still a thing? Disclosure: I only became aware of her -because a couple of channels I watch -that are informative AND hilarious (thanks Hunter) Had to call her out. One reviewer was genuinely disappointed/ that person had been an occasional watcher of her KZbin content. And that person had really complimentary things to say. ( detailing the quirky, unique way she approached using comedy. Comedy that isn’t really funny -it was a world view (not just a woman’s view) that was “FUN”, not falling back on Amy Schumer super unfunny vulgarity, or some quasi same old same old dated sex & the city type subject matter. She portrayed the foibles that we all face.....I think that is called “connecting with your audience”. Well she has left that particular feature on the curb. Hey, I totally get it. She got a chance of a lifetime. Well, I guess it’s a chance of some kind. I don’t begrudge anyone being offered everything on a silver...hell solid gold platter. I’d take the money and run. I’m no comedy writer or critique. I just know what makes me laugh. This didn’t. As I said earlier. I hadn’t heard of her ever till a few weeks ago. I watched the monologue bits and “sort of” SNL type skits that were brutal. That terrible exercise skit about feminists quandaries ( wage gap, being assertive....yeah real knee slappers! ) Her exotic looks though. It made me think..., YES!! Nasim Agdam. WHO? That exotic looking woman -with a popular channel in her home country -her videos are bizarre and mesmerizing at the same time. Was it real. The strange personas she wore. Wearing wigs - colorful workout clothes -food segments. The most obvious thing about her? This absolute detachment. There was humor in her choices. Never explained. This KZbin personality is an anomaly- kind of like ale lived in her own bubble - and anyone could peek in. To this day - it’s on my top 10 of just plain weird but fascinating things I’ve seen ever. Oh! And forgot to mention. She got pissed off about some pay issue with KZbin and went to the google offices in San Francisco...and killed her self. A more mysterious individual would be hard to find. I think Lily, could have taken that whole story and spun it into something. BECAUSE this young woman was so removed & detachment was her default. Lily could have let us peek into her other side. Or twin sisters side. Lily has the dark exotic flair to pull it off. Oh well. Good Luck. Peace 🦋
