My twentieth birthday was yesterday. I grew up hearing stories from my grandparents about how great it was to live under former President Marcos' administration, and I knew I had to believe them. Because they were present while I was not, and I am confident that my grandparents would never lie to me. But hearing these things from people who had been there firsthand, as well as those in positions of power in the government, was truly eye-opening. Thank you so much. And today I wanted to be in a administration with another Marcos leading, not for any other reasons but just for the best of our country, The Philippines.

..due to Toni's recent interview vlog with Sen. Bongbong, my curiosity about what really transpired during martial law increased..and so I asked my dad yesterday about his personal experience during that period of time..my dad said, "It was September 1972 when martial law was declared and the military are everywhere."..so I asked him again, "dad, how was it living during the martial law?"..my dad answered, "everything was normal during the martial law and we felt safer, protected. It was because the NPAs number grew bigger and started hiding in the mountains (we're Igorots btw) and our homes started to be unsafe because of the rebels. So martial law was declared and life became normal."..i also remembered asking the same question to my in-laws before, maybe about 2 years ago..my in-laws said, "As long as you follow the curfews and you're not 'pasaway' then there is no problem with the martial law. It was safe to walk on the streets."..and my in-laws are from Tarlac..i am not discrediting the bad experiences of those who claims to be victims of the martial law regime..but what I am saying is, the martial law period was really painted in a very bad light and was considered the darkest part of Philippine history because of all the bad stories published again and again due to the victim's testimonies..they may really have bad experiences and I won't question what they went through..however, are we really sure now if it was really Pres. Marcos who caused their pain and sufferings?..there is obviously an abuse of power but I am more and more convinced that it wasn't Pres. Marcos..I now realized that it wasn't as bad as what it seemed to be..aside from my father and mother and in-laws and my lolos and Lola's whom I've personally asked (they had a first hand experience of it, my Uncle was born during that time and was even named Marcial because of it), there are more people now who claims to have lived in a better life during the martial law period as compared to the next administrations after pres. Marcos was oust from his office..seeing interviews like this then makes things clearer and I am confident that in due time, the truth will be really be revealed..is it really revisionism as what the yellow movement is claiming?..or is it really the truth and the yellow party is just afraid of facing the consequences of manipulating the truth and the Filipinos for almost 50 years now?..personally, as far as what I've read and heard and seen on videos, I'm more convinced of the latter.. THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE...❤️

I'm always amazed of our elderlies. Based also on our own experience we were still able to meet two of our great grand parents. The younger brother(died at age 101)of my great grand mother(died at age 105) was able to tell us very detailed stories of the past as well as relaying to us who and were our scattered relatives are residing. @@rosykawaii The Americans ordered it based on what little information I have. Ninoy was an NPA communist leader and the Americans are "allergic" to communism. If it wasn't Cory, then it was Ninoy who would be next president but he is an enemy to the Americans because he cannot be controlled by them and he will turn the country into a socialist republic just like North Korea. What are your thoughts though? I don't believe FEM ordered his assassination since the blame will go to him. Ultimately, it was done to tarnish FEM's image even more and taking out a communist leader ...

There's a deeper question / answer that needs to be unravelled. If you didn't know, one of the American President said .... the richest country in the world is the Philippines. Now you're confused. I re-watched the interview after watching Maid in Malacanang. It is true that the history was distorted to favor one group. Who can tell that after more than three years after this conversation that BBM will become the 17th President of the Philippines and the truth started to unfold.
