..due to Toni's recent interview vlog with Sen. Bongbong, my curiosity about what really transpired during martial law increased..and so I asked my dad yesterday about his personal experience during that period of time..my dad said, "It was September 1972 when martial law was declared and the military are everywhere."..so I asked him again, "dad, how was it living during the martial law?"..my dad answered, "everything was normal during the martial law and we felt safer, protected. It was because the NPAs number grew bigger and started hiding in the mountains (we're Igorots btw) and our homes started to be unsafe because of the rebels. So martial law was declared and life became normal."..i also remembered asking the same question to my in-laws before, maybe about 2 years ago..my in-laws said, "As long as you follow the curfews and you're not 'pasaway' then there is no problem with the martial law. It was safe to walk on the streets."..and my in-laws are from Tarlac..i am not discrediting the bad experiences of those who claims to be victims of the martial law regime..but what I am saying is, the martial law period was really painted in a very bad light and was considered the darkest part of Philippine history because of all the bad stories published again and again due to the victim's testimonies..they may really have bad experiences and I won't question what they went through..however, are we really sure now if it was really Pres. Marcos who caused their pain and sufferings?..there is obviously an abuse of power but I am more and more convinced that it wasn't Pres. Marcos..I now realized that it wasn't as bad as what it seemed to be..aside from my father and mother and in-laws and my lolos and Lola's whom I've personally asked (they had a first hand experience of it, my Uncle was born during that time and was even named Marcial because of it), there are more people now who claims to have lived in a better life during the martial law period as compared to the next administrations after pres. Marcos was oust from his office..seeing interviews like this then makes things clearer and I am confident that in due time, the truth will be really be revealed..is it really revisionism as what the yellow movement is claiming?..or is it really the truth and the yellow party is just afraid of facing the consequences of manipulating the truth and the Filipinos for almost 50 years now?..personally, as far as what I've read and heard and seen on videos, I'm more convinced of the latter.. THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE...❤️

This is really an eye-opener for me. I was against Marcos before based on what I heard and learned from textbooks but now it altered my beliefs about the late President FEM. I’m a solid BBM now. Now, I know why my mommy is a solid fan and why my idol Miriam supported BBM. Enrile speaks through experience. You’ve got my vote this May 2022! Rebuild this Nation again!!!

Considering his age, he has a memory of a young adult. So vast and precise. He even remembered the dates. While me, I can't even recall the lessons I've studied the day after the exams and there's no way he could've fabricated all of these. He was spilling everything after another consecutively without hesitation and with clarity.

I'm always amazed of our elderlies. Based also on our own experience we were still able to meet two of our great grand parents. The younger brother(died at age 101)of my great grand mother(died at age 105) was able to tell us very detailed stories of the past as well as relaying to us who and were our scattered relatives are residing. He visits them all year round even at his 90s. he also told us stories during the martial law that it was not the government's fault that there were abuse and commotion but because of the NPAs looting everywhere that makes it unsafe during that time

Imagine the genuine happiness JPE will feel witnessing Bongbong Marcos taking oath to becoming the president of the Philippines. I Can't be more happy for both, saying to himself "I can rest easy now" knowing the Philippines is finally in good hands again. I congratulate them for their preserverence and integrity to good values. (apologise for my tagalog I did not grow up in the Philippines.) I remember in my late elementary, I first heard his name in the senate as the senile old man and countless memes of playing bejewelled. Now on the cusp of the end senior high, he along with late senator Miriam, and ofc course Marcos (both sr. and jr!) will become my inspiration as I am aspiring to apply for a political science degree for university. wish me luck kababayans, godbless everyone, and godbless the Philippines! I was made a fool of the textbooks. I adored Cory before, because it was what "said on the textbooks", now the truth have been told. Very straight conversations, pure experiences and real emotions. As a 2000 born Kabataan of Philippines, I am now little by little learning what was the true Philippines before. I was abolished by the dilawans, now I am not regretting on my first voting experience for the elections, I chose Marcos.

@@rosykawaii The Americans ordered it based on what little information I have. Ninoy was an NPA communist leader and the Americans are "allergic" to communism. If it wasn't Cory, then it was Ninoy who would be next president but he is an enemy to the Americans because he cannot be controlled by them and he will turn the country into a socialist republic just like North Korea. What are your thoughts though? I don't believe FEM ordered his assassination since the blame will go to him. Ultimately, it was done to tarnish FEM's image even more and taking out a communist leader ...

There's a deeper question / answer that needs to be unravelled. If you didn't know, one of the American President said .... the richest country in the world is the Philippines. Now you're confused. Dig deeper.
