Quick tip I came up with early game! If you're stuck fighting in the dark hold E with your torch out to toss it on the ground! Then you'll have a nice lite up area to fight in. Just don't forget it when you're done 😬
@shabazz7178 ай бұрын
Thx! I was having trouble switching back and forth between my weapon and torch. I’ll give that a try!
@Irate_Beau7 ай бұрын
sort of a side note to that, most enemies wont be able to climb steep slopes & ledges. so if you need to hold out until daylight, climb a small ledge or pillar or wall with the double-jump. as long as there's no enemies with projectile attacks within range, you'll be safe indefinitely. just watch out for overhanging things, because the AI pathing will have them plumet down on top of you!

Beginner tip from another beginner. Before you strengthen your flame you can only place two altars. One will be your base. Use the other one as a fast travel point, don't forget to destroy it (go into it's menu and click distinguish flame or whatever). So you can use it elsewhere. This way you can go adventure really deep and then when it starts getting dark you can place an altar, teleport home, sleep etc and teleport back.

You seeing that legendary bow reward for a quest and saying "what the heck, I need to go do this right now!" is such a mood! Makes me wanna play this game.

This was a thorough demonstration of this game - I'm broaching on a hundred hours in this game and you still showed me things I never quite figured-out (the explanation of the quest types and how you might want to prioritize them is really useful especially if you're like me and kinda blindly stumbling across POIs). Thank you!
@amydavis494510 ай бұрын
Quests, quests and MORE quests!! On Day Two my map was literally riddled with quest markers (story, npc and lore) and I was actually overwhelmed with what to do first. But like you are kind of saying here, I'm also an explorer-type and found most of them by just wandering around and exploring. My biggest challenge is that the map (even after opening it) doesn't show where roads/dirt paths are, so it can be difficult to know *how* to get to a particular quest because of terrain/shroud. I hope this changes in the future.
@jimmyb265510 ай бұрын
I love this game and can't wait to see what else they will add for the full release. The building feature is by far my favorite part of the game. I made a hyper realistic viking inspired compound. Each of the NPC's has their own building or space in the main house. I went a bit crazy and spent about 15 hours building this place. Secret passages, extremely detailed, I get lost building in this game and it's stress relieving.
@bradrodgers13249 ай бұрын
@LuckyGhost I love this guide it’s so informative without any real huge spoilers, I however may have found a reliable early game source of scrap metal, if you break the pods that are dotted around places like the blacksmiths tomb they give 3 scrap metal each and respawn like any other resource from logging out and in again, the blacksmiths tomb specifically has 17 of them dotted around and has a anvil in the ‘courtyard’ for repairing tools, which means you can use the lowest level pickaxe without having to teleport back and forth, that totals out to a minimum of 51 scrap per run
@LuckyGhost9 ай бұрын
Good tip!
@bradrodgers13249 ай бұрын
Including all the other breakables around and the 4 scavenger enemies (I’m counting the one on the bridge) in 2 runs I totalled 121 scrap metal

Small addendum(s): the blacksmith can craft lock picks for 1 scrap metal. If you craft them at the bench, or manually, they cost 2 scrap pieces. when you are using Shift+R to dump items in your chests, the items from the two bars are not affected. So, if I have some wood in one of the slots from the bars, it will not get deposited in the chest. In the same way, food and potions that you have in the two bars do not get dumped in the chests automatically - only the items from your backpack are affected. If you have any stack-able items on the bar, and you interact with a chest that contains more of that item then press Shift + F, then the game will move items from the chest into your two bars, filling up the incomplete stacks. Very useful for a quick top-up of food, potions, bandages etc. Do be careful though, as pressing just R when interacting with a chest tries to move as many items from your backpack to the chest as possible and pressing F is 'take all items from the chest'.

Hey, I know this is an old vid at this point, but that's not how comfort works. You only get the best buff of any given comfort category. For instance, the highest comfort table is the only table that's counted. All other tables are useless. So craft the best table, run, fire, bed, chair, etc. that you can. (unless you're doing it for aesthetics of course)

Thank you. Wanna bump this higher. This guide took so much work and care but the game has changed so much in 10 months. I wish creators would just go mark some things out of date or pin a comment with the specific changes. The video could still be valid. Most are just spewing out content for the latest crave and don’t go back and wouldn’t even know enshrouded was updated or care. This creator I am not referring to, while they may or may not have moved on this guide took love and time. Just a lot of enshrouded content isn’t relevant anymore so I try to avoid older videos but guides like this or true building guides from around 9 months ago tend to be more robust. I think the smaller creators still posting are hesitant to repost and focus on new content but it’s hard to tell what’s relevant as a newish player. Anyway end rant. Thanks for calling this out though. I was at that part wondering if I had been playing wrong.

Great video. Thanks for sharing, I learned a lot of valuable information. However, I did play around with the comfort buff. It seems that you get from furniture only increases for the highest grade per type of furniture. Building multiple tables only the highest comfort table will be counted. In the bathroom section, there is a tub, a toilet, and sink and each is counted individually to stack the comfort buff. Edit: some of the furniture pieces are mislabeled and give different levels of comfort than stated. So pay attention to how much it actually is giving you when you place it. The rested buff fills up when the conditions are met for it. So as long as you have any comfort level and a source of warmth you can activate it no matter where you are. If you have the other parts you can get it by either - being sheltered, sleeping, or sitting down(press X).

This also lets you recover thomstones at ledges like the ones at lava basins where you slip and die and can't go there again, because you will slide down into lava when you try. Like at lvl 2 it makes the fog before revelwood normal fog and once its lvl 3 it makes the fog over by the plains regular and once it is max lvl the entire map is normal fog. I know its simple but I never knew it cause I just went out and just did the exploring rather than upgrading. I died to bad fog soo many times lol, but got to the endgame lvl 25 area at around lvl 12 😅 (so I could farm that lvl 25 chest and make my life easy). 23:00 guess I spoke too soon. 🤣
