I think it’s incredible you self thought how to refurbish cameras Natalie, you never cease to amaze me how quickly you acquire new skills and don’t shy away from trying. Nice video and some lovely shots in there, it’s great to also have some not so great ones along the way, it keeps it real and a journey of progress.

Ah thats really useful montage on the restoration. I have an Ensign Ranger II with the Epsilon shutter but the ruby windows are loose and the light seals worn, so its good to see how youve done it. What a great camera though. I too was amazed by the frame masks! Theres also a hidden extra tripod socket on the front door next to the little metal tab which acts as a tabletop level in portrait mode. Maybe you could try putting some tracing paper over the back of the camera while its open and trying to trace that light leak that way? Lovely tones with the colour film.

Ah! Thank you for the suggestion with the tracing paper. I don't have the camera with me at the moment but it will be back in my hands at the end of the year so I will try that out then. I hope you have a good experience with your restoration. And I hope you keep me posted on that! All the best :)

I have similar cameras and I need to clean the lens on one of them. It's pretty dirty. The pictures look good regardless of the small issues. Great video. Loved the restoration montage the best.

I am happy that you replied so fast. I have not shoot with that much old camera but I used to shoot with film cameras in my childhood. But nowadays I am focusing on skills like web developement android development graphic design and freelancing but I am learning photography and video production for better content creation :)

Too slow for what exactly?? The lady uses a tripod and cable release, preventing camera shake.
