"Start with what you have" is lettered so beautifully! I just love how you letter so neatly!Bounce lettering is so fun, but my brain hurts when my eye is confused, and I can not read the words. I came across a simple phrase a few days ago, and the very first word had a flourishing crossover of a T. I promise it looked like another letter, and I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. I just adore watching you letter. ❤️ thank you for being you!

Start with what you have for sure! I started in a random 120gsm blank notebook I had laying around from... some trip, because I do not live in Australia LOL. It was shockingly good paper, though. From K-Mart. But yes, Rhodia is love. The guy I get my fountain pens from sells all the Rhodia stuff, the A4 dot pad I got is soooo smooth. I love it, it handles my flex nib pen well, too. That pen obliterates paper like an alcohol marker LOL. I've heard of those Bristols, too. I'm curious, but have a LOT of paper right now. Walmart Exceed journals are okay at $10. 100gsm paper that ghosts really bad though. I've seen people mention them on Reddit and just didn't get along with them. The 80gsm paper in my Rhodia Dot Pad at 80gsm ghosts vastly less. It was a lesson in gsm isn't everything :D That said, $10 for an A5 dot grid isn't bad and could get someone going on the cheap. Yeah that is definitely mauve. it's literally the color of Tombow's mauve marker iirc XD I just got two Archer and Olive journals in the March sub box, and they are my first, and yes, wow, they are so nice. I won't be using another STM journal for my next bullet journal, I think :D I'm spoiled now... Thanks for sharing!

ive been journal obsessed since grade school. but I used to only buy based on the cover lol Now I care more about paper quality, especially after becoming lettering obsessed-(which was after I found you on here lol). But I love how everyone has different papers that they get excited about. All of my favorite are Japanese, my fav ghosts like crazy but I love it so much I don't care lol. I want that pink grid A&O books bad lol. I loooove pink, but every time I see they have it, its gone before I can snag it.

A&O has sales sometimes, which can make them a lot cheaper. Or get like the love and self care box - they’ve had it on sale for like 6-9 months at least. So you can get a whole box of stuff for cheaper than 1 journal. (I’ve bought at least 3-4 of the self care boxes - one I gave to my 13 year old niece for Christmas).

Yes!! Thank you for sharing! I bought that self care box in April and I love the flower ice cream cone! I just looked at the price and it’s only $25 right now!! Totally a steal!

Oh thanks for the idea! I wasn’t planning on it because I don’t have as many as pens and journals. Maybe when I finish all of this I’ll make a video of everything left and how it’s all organized so you can see details like accessories!

It’s Decoart metallic acrylic paint! I got it at Michael’s years ago and it’s still my favorite!

Notebook therapy is super slow to ship/arrive in my experience so if trying to decide between them and a&o I would choose a&o
