Back in late 1994 I often visited a local radio station where an "old" guy (26 y/o) broadcasted rock/metal programme. He always had something cool for me, and one day he was like "hey, this shit's too much for me, wanna listen to that?" and he gave me four promo CDs: Impaled Nazarene - Suomi Finland Perkele Absu - Barathrum: V.I.T.R.I.O.L. Marduk - Opus Nocturne Enslaved - Frost Needless to say, shit was too heavy for me and it ended in my buddy's collection... :-( Later I bought Frost on a CD and it's still in my "collection" although I sold most of my CDs for a silly reason in 2010.

Definitely among the classics, beauty entwined with a sense of perpetual darkness, although based on Norse Mythology it still resonates with an evil tone, the presence of atmospherics conveys it all with greater meaning. It Holds a special place in my heart. Thanks for posting BMP.

Frost was the first record of them that I listened to in a taperecorded and it keeps itself one of their ultimate opus..The insane laughs, the viking cover/lyrics/atmosphere and well-played for hell.

This album is so haunting and chilling. The level of depth on this release is breath-taking. So much atmosphere is created here and this is brought about by a reasonable amount of symphonic elements as there are hints of this but it isn't overbearing and is used sparingly creating different levels within the songs. Every time I listen I hear something new which also makes this album refreshing and interesting and an album that keeps me coming back. The riffs are fun too and I love the vocals
