I don't usually balk at prices but an obvious way to cut cost would have been to have created at slightly smaller palette. This could have been 12 or 16 shades and still gotten the point across.

I wasn’t going to get this one because I don’t particularly like holographic eyeshadows but I’m officially sold, I don’t care for the holo particles but the color story is so beautiful and I can totally see myself traveling with it. I love the colours of Viseart Dark Mattes but I’m not a fan of the formula, so this just makes so much sense. I LOVE your attention to lighting and details!

I love this palette, I think my issue with pricing is that this is a Private labeled palette. We often pay more for hand mixed, and pressed, which when sold as singles that’s much more doable. But I love watching your swatches and videos, it’s very helpful! I am watching so I’ll probably have more comments

I was really interested in this palette at first, but I think it has the wrong ratio of light to dark shimmers for me. I find that I don't wear deep shimmers all over my lid (just in the outer corner) so I really need more than a couple light shimmers in a palette of this size. But it does look stunning. Ensley Reign's website says they make "most" of their products in-house, so if these are a house formula instead of private label, that helps justify the price imo (although I wish they listed that information for individual products because there's no way to really know unless they say). I'm not against private label brands, but I'm willing to pay more for something unique. A super helpful video as always!

Angeschka has a video that explains the difference really well, if I remember correctly, there is still a lot of effort and customization and creativity involved in producing a private label palette, so I think she was a bit annoyed about people not really understanding what it means 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think for me I could only see myself reaching for the shimmers, mattes are easy to find. I don't know if the brand lists the weight of the shadows, ie how much product you get in each pan. These look like they're 18-20mm pans, which usually don't hold a lot of product, maybe 1 g. An eyeshadow single would still give you 1.3 to 1.5 g of product, so really the cost per gram isn't going to be significantly lower, so it might just even things out. I would argue it would be better to start selling some of the shades as singles, as some other brands have been doing recently.

I was going to pick it up anyway, but your videos and comparisons always help. I'm not sure this would work, but the purple-y shade you showed that you couldn't find a dupe for? I wore the new lavender multi chrome from Glaminatrix (they released six singles) would be worth a swatch. I'm not in your kind of analytics so I'm not great on all the formulas, textures, and shifts . .. . but if you have it, you could check it out.

Very helpful thorough review! I did not guess it was going to be this beautiful until seeing these swatches. Love the artwork and desaturated late autumn vibes - looks more like fall on my latitude 😂 Really into both Moon shades and Flannel and Forage. If this was in my budget I would be buying this, but I need to love 100% of shades to buy at this price. That is why I do not own a lot of palettes that have mostly multichromes - odds of repeat shades are not favourable. Also, I realise I am not a fan of bright warm shades with holo. Do you think Tombstone might be Phoenix pigment over vermillion base? It is really pretty, and this is coming from someone who hates orange shimmers. Is 'decidious' misspelt 'deciduous', or a different word? 'Deciduous' is trees/plants which are not 'evergreen', so I think maybe it is?

Thank u for providing such good swatches and comparisons. 🙏🏼💕 As someone who doesn't have a lot of multichromes and avoids buying them bc of the $15-$18 price tag, this is worth the $88 to me. I'm also at the point where I know what colors I like on myself and I am very picky about adding to my collection. 💸💰⚖️ Among the many mainstream and indie releases so far this fall, most palettes have been an easy pass bc I either have the colors already or the color stories aren't for me. But this color story adds to my collection and I can see myself wearing it all yr round. 😍💐🍁🍄🌱 So it might be $88, but I haven't bought much since spring and don't plan to buy much for the forseeable future. I don't own any big palettes bc I don't like holding them, packing them, having overwhelming choice, and often getting repetitive shades, but I made an exception for this one bc it's magnetic, the color story is really cohesive for easy mixing and matching, and bc there are so many special shades I like and don't have. 🤩🖌️🎨

Most multichromes are now starting to look alike to me. I have HUNDREDS and I know I have many dupes, but I'm over all these releases that look the same. They can only do so many shades at this point 🤷🏽‍♀️😂
