Ex reached to me last week (day 53 of NC) with a sexual innuendo. Then 4 days later she texted at 12:01 am the day after my birthday with “happy late bday”. Head games, possibly? My replies were very short with a touch of humor.

I may have made my situation worse. A couple months ago my ex came back after almost a year and told me that she missed me and thinks about me every day. I was in nc and only responded to her the few times she reached out and just focused on myself. The thing is now she is in another state with her sister so I told her that we can talk when she comes back. I’ve been in nc since and haven’t heard anything from her. Is she mad that I didn’t fall all over her and go rescue her or something? Why the sudden silence?

She was testing you. I would have responded the same way you did. Don't fall all over her or she will lose interest. I made that mistake.

Never ignore your ex. You should have talked to her. At this point you have nothing to lose, so I would contact her.
