Bro ഞാൻ പഠിച്ചിരുന്നത് 45 വർഷം മുൻപ് ആണ് അന്ന് പഠിച്ചത് 2 ഇലക്ട്രോട് ഉള്ള എല്ലാത്തിനെയും diode.എന്ന് പറയും.അതിൻ്റെ ഫംഗ്ഷൻ അതിൻ്റെ കൂടെ ചേർക്കുമ്പോൾ ആണ് അത് പൂർണ്ണമാകുന്നത് എന്നാണ്. ഉദാഹരണം rectifier diode,zener diode, പിന്നെ ആൾക്കാർ ഈ ഫാമിലിക്കു മാത്രം diode എന്ന് പറയുന്നു. 2 electrod ൻ്റെ shortform ആണ് diod.
