I love how diverse the cases are on ENT, and the lifestyle can be great even though it’s a well compensated surgical specialty. Thanks for watching!

With ENT being such an academic field is it common for medical students/residents to delay residency in order to have a focused research year? Thanks again future Dr.A
@DrAdnan4 жыл бұрын
Abdullah Yusuf I know some med students who are planning to apply to ENT who are or who have taken a research year in med school because of that and also because it’s so competitive to match into nowadays and many pubs are often expected. Thanks for watching!

Ask them what they are doing to treat Empty Nose Syndrome. I had sinus surgery and the surgery caused Atrophic Rhinitis (Empty Nose Syndrome) which means that I barely feel air in my sinuses now. It basically feels like suffocating. It is a horrible condition. 😎😎😎
@DrAdnan5 жыл бұрын
Sorry you’re going through that. It sounds very difficult :(
@rd20714 жыл бұрын
Turbinate reductions are currently an organ mutilation fad. More reports of empty nose syndrome are surfacing. Its only a matter of time when these baseless surgeries will become extinct.

Are ents plastic surgeons?
@DrAdnan4 жыл бұрын
they do a lot of plastic surgery, and sometimes for head and neck cases there’s overlap in the scope of practice (and ent or plastics can both do the case)
