Enter the Beast! - John Deere 6190R.

Quite why, I am not sure, but this is not the biggest R series tractor by any means yet it has that macho look about it . . . This is Martin Lewis, contractors, beast and Thomas is driving it. The 7450 chopper is handled by Martin. The Case 130 is owned by another contractor.

How do you like that Deutz-Fahr in the beginning? I'm guessing it has similar power output to the deere since they are similar in size?

No, the 6190R has been chipped and is around 230hp I believe. Could be wrong, I'm trying to remember . . .TheDeutz is around 150 I think.

Lovely machine but no front mudguards??? They've hardly fallen off already???

Like Alan says in the comments this tractor also goes on the buck rake on the pit some times. Most operators will take the front mudguards off when buck raking to stop the silage getting caught between the front wheels and the mudguard and damaging them.

Ah right I see what ya mean. Was wondering coz driving without the mudguards is an absolute nightmare if it's wet. Muck & sh!te all over the front window

It could be a different reason but I've seen them took off for that reason. It's only 4 bolts and they're pretty easy to replace fir the winter. A dam sight easier and cheaper than replacing broken and bent mud guards - £££££££!!!
