November 9, 1993 will be 30yrs since Wu-Tang dropped the first album. !!30YEARS!! And we still play it as if it just came out yesterday. That's how much of an impact the Wu-Tang has on Hip-hop

The members of Wu Tang, and Divine Diggs, all say that ODB was not only a genius, but the "heart" of the group. He was like the fool in Shakespeare. The most witty and clever character in the story, that always tells it like it is, he manipulates the dimension between the audience and the performance; he has an idiosyncratic response to the idiosyncrasies of each member of Wu Tang AND the audience.

Experiencing the Wu is one of the highlights in my life ever. Wu, Nas and 2Pac. I feel so blessed to been able to witness greatness like that in Hip-Hop. I can comfortabely say that they fathered me as a young man growing up without a father. Ive got a family now with 4 kids and whenever I'm feeling doubtfull about my ways as a man and as a father, I just fall back to what these brothers preached and teached. Thank ya'll!

I was 13 when the Wu bumrushed the game in '93 so i didn't understand all the lyrics. 20+ years later I'm still catching deep meaning in their material for the first time. Glad I'm old enough to have experience these times in the 90s. The golden era of Hip hop. Wu tang was so raw, from the beats to the rhymes. Every member was in prime form... wu tangs music still slaps arrd inna 2021. Classic shit.🔥🔥👊🏾💯

Emerging in 1993, when Dr. Dre's G-funk had overtaken the hip-hop world, the Staten Island, New York-based Wu-Tang Clan proved to be the most revolutionary rap group of the mid-'90s -- and only partially because of their music. Turning the standard concept of a hip-hop crew inside out, the Wu-Tang Clan were assembled as a loose congregation of nine MCs, almost as a support group. Instead of releasing one album after another, the Clan were designed to overtake the record industry in as profitable a fashion as possible -- the idea was to establish the Wu-Tang as a force with their debut album and then spin off into as many side projects as possible. In the process, the members would all become individual stars as well as receive individual royalty checks.

+danny keigher Truth! The real rappers can be found in the underground, guys from the UK like Akala and Lowkey spread real knowledge in their lyrics. Check them out if you get a chance, "Akala Fire in the Booth 1, 2 & 3". Solid lyricism all throughout. You won't regret it mate. Peace!

Something was going on there. Ghostface keeps looking at Dirty. U God tugs at Dirty and pulls him, Gza starts looking at Dirty and they make a few gestures. Dirty’s last gesture seems to be towards Meth who was talking. Many of the members used to say Meth would bogart often lol.

It's weird how 80s rap and 80s rock was all up beat and colorful, and then in the 90s both genres did a complete 180. I personally like both eras; just pointing it out.

When I think, although I'm no hip-hop diehard I have heard a lot. I have never heard such a cohesive and lyrically rich song as "protect ya neck" and it's very playful as well. I do love "da mysteries of chessboxing" as well for similar reasons. Really very deep well for the listener to draw from. I'm so glad for them and I'm always saddened by the loss of ODB. What an interesting artist.
