Btw since you mentioned it the smallest army costing exactly 2000 points I've managed to come up with is 5 models. It's an avengorii dynasty army with Nagash,a wight king and 3 terrorgheists.

It's a damn sexy army - I can 1 up (or -1) you though, Kragnos, 2 mega gargants, one normal gargant! Plus it's super fun to play, seen Gabe run it on a table next to me at Element, such fun!

The issue here is... I have long term tabletop + standards for the army, so if I do anything ideally it's something that won't step me backwards in the future, plenty of planning needed!

I will miss the premiere, but look forward to seeing this on the replay later. Just remember that if all else fails, make sure someone else drives you there, which gives you some extra painting time. And really, if the judging of painting isn't until round three, you have all that time in the venue prior to get the last colours on. Because, if there isn't a last minute rush to get it all done, have to really, truly attended a tournament? Ok, that just might be my poor time management skills.

'wet on the tabletop' was a hilarious phrase coined by one of the early Warhammer Fantasy podcasts I listened to, one guy famously was always painting his rims during morning announcements! It is some of the experience, always makes for good retelling, always regretted though!

Haa, scraping is pretty forgiving, maybe I can do an ad-hoc one at some point soon! Main issue is my complete inability with tech, so it'd be one camera, not face + desk, which is ideal, really.

There are a lot of videos on KZbin describing “battle ready” army painting either by classic method or contrast. I assume you will paint at table top +!

I'll definitely be doing my best under the time constraints, I imagine I'll have some nice transitions, drybrush or airbrush, the really timely thing will be blocking in and basecoating trim/details/armour though!
