She's a looker for sure but let's be real, the Big D changes emotions when filmed from different angles. Like most angles you get a shot of it, look like benign generational explorer ship, but from the right angle with the right cinematography, the thing would look oppressive and like a bad idea to mess with. Just because I can say, one of my favorite ship shots in the whole franchise is the Enterprise D and Titan at the end of Picard flying side by side. It has a fantastic passing the torch "you did good kid" kind of vibe and it's fantastic.

I know most people are going to be like "OH we only seen the F for a short time." in the show yes, in Star Trek Online however the Enterprise NCC 1701-F is quite the influence in a number of missions, along with her Captain. I think that's my only disappointment here is that there is no F, but otherwise, pretty good.

You know I always felt that the nx1 Enterprise should of had looked more like the engineering section than the saucer section as that was seem to be an addition that could be discarded in an emergency from the main body of the ship meant to give them more space for extended cruises that could be abandoned or used as a large lifeboat if anything went wrong

The only one you're missing is the Phase II Enterprise. If ya gotta include the Archer refit Enterprise, it's only fair to give Phase II a chance. It is the most overlooked version of the Enterprise. I love the sense of scale, though, the subtle interior shots really help with the immersion of a flyby of a massive starship and the camera angle really helps to sell the illusion. It's easy to forget just how big these ships really are because there's no reference point in space. I would have skipped G, though, NuTrek is going through letters faster than there are shows to put them in, we barely got E and got no F, it's like they're trying their hardest to get to J without all the extra fluff in between. Everyone now is like "ooo, a new Enterprise!" and it's quickly forgotten six months later when they release yet another. It's like an Apple product now. That's my own personal opinion, though. And can we just appreciate the music for a moment? I heard all the great intros and while I never got to watch Voyager when it was current, the version of the intro music here was just epic and gave me that warm, fuzzy feeling inside.

I mean, tbf, we *did* get an F, but for barely any time, it was also in Picard S3. Luckily, if you want a lot of Enterprise F content, you can always go to Star Trek Online, which has really done a lot of detail with her, even if it mildly breaks canon.

I think Tobias Richter made a nice rendering of it, filling in the somewhat vague aft portions. Not only does it look waaaay better than the clunky, simplified form that made it to TV, but it makes the whole progression from Excelsior to Galaxy-class make more sense.

Depending on how thorough you want to be, you could add some short fly-bys of the Space Shuttle and XCV-330 "ring ship" Enterprise prior to Archer's. Also, the Enterprise-J, which can look quite neat at the right scale.

I have to say that it was a good decision to add the refit of NX-01 as well. Even if never screen used, it is more or less canon, since it was designed and meant to be used in Season 5. That was before the idiot CEO of CBS in 2003, Les Moonves, who cancelled Enterprise and despised sci-fi and Star Trek. Ending the Rick Berman and Brannon Braga era of Star Trek. A truly golden era of Star Trek, TNG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise). Then when Paramount brought it back in 2009 and onwards, we got people like Jar Jar Abrams and Alex Kurtzman who has no knowledge or respect for Star Trek, it's legacy, the atmosphere and style, or Gene Roddenberrys visions and set rules. Unlike Brannon Braga and Rick Berman who worked alongside Roddenberry for years and had a deep understanding and respect for his visions and set rules for the Star Trek universe. The NX-01 refit is kind of like the Klingon D4 who was designed to be used in the Enterprise episode where they run into the 80 year old Klingon crew who had been on a long mission. Someone at the top just decided to use a crappy low rez version of a K'Tinga instead, although that ship type did not come into action until the TMP era. In fact in the Enterprise era the D7 was not even developed yet. One of the guys in the effect team had spent his free time to design the D4 for free, but then the idiots at the top decided they did not wanted it to have more windowst. Then the effect team said screw it and tossed it in protest for their ungratefulness and the ones at the top said just throw in this low rez K'äTinga dn the fans won'ät even notice it, or care. Oh, we noticed it alright and it totally broke canon and the line evolution of the Klingon ships. It just shows how those at the top in corprations often do not have any clue and are totally out of touch with the fans. Happily I got that D4 as a die-cast model from Eaglemoss. Eaglemoss who sadly went bankrupt and is no more making any Star Trek die-cast models. That D4 is a beautiful design and I personally consider it canon even if not screen used, just like the NX-01 refit. Another favourite of mine is USS Bonaventure. I happily also have an Eaglemoss die-cast version of that. It's a beautful imagination of the design of that TOS era Starfleet ship. It has only been mention and described in books, never in any live action movie or series (and never designed to be either like the above mentioned ships), so I can not consider it canon, but it is one of my favourite designs for sure. Eaglemoss hit the nail on the head with their version of it. It looks like it could have been picked straight out of the TOS series.

@@FatCatGarfield I'm sure some would disagree and say any Star Trek series after Enterprise is not canon, but let's not open that can of worms. lol It's like the Jar Jar Abrams Kelvin Enterprise. It does not belong in the evolutionary line/tree of Enterprise, since it was in an alternative timeline, but still one could argue that it is canon. I have caved in to accepting that for example the SNW Enteprise is now canon, even if it does not fit in with the original Connie, not even fitting in with the pilot episode of TOS Enterprise. It basically make it so that there are two now parallel designs of the same ship, same name and same registry number, existing in the same time period in the same universe. Unless at the end of SNW they refit it to look like in the pilot episode of TOS, which I doubt they will. I do agree with you that due to Picard Season 3 NX-01 refit is now canon, just like the STO fan designed Enterpise F is now canon (for the same reason, being seen in picard). F actually being a design I have no problem accepting, since it fits very well as a design evolution after E. It is very tastefully designed, unlike former USS Titan, now Enterprise G, which I find to be a hideous design. Still, even that is now canon. I have to admit though, that I had almost blocked the Picard series out of my mind totally and forgot about that (the nx-01 refit being seen in it). Simply due to how bad I thought season 1 and 2 was and how badly those fitted in the whole evolution of Starfleet and behaviour of officers in any serious organziation (that goes for the jar jar abrams movies too). How badly it all fitted in with Roddenberry's laid out vision of the future and set rules for the Star Trek universe and Starfleet. Which during the Rick Berman era they followed truthfully and made it, what is seen by most fans as the golden era of Star Trek. As much I liked seeing Jean-Luc, Worf, Q (whom I have met in person and got his autograph on one of my star trek dvd boxes), Deanna, Riker, Data and Seven of 9 again. I just couldn't stand the bad story writing, cringe language and vape smoking etc in Picard (as if some middle-age person wrote it like that to try and be hip and think they act and talk like the cool kids of gen z, or something), but that is my personal opinion and taste. Since it is officially released it is canon (my taste is irrelevant in that context). Just like I am forced to admit that Discovery is now unfortunely part of Star Trek canon, no matter how bad I think it is and would rather never have seen that abomination of a series be created under the umbrella of Star Trek. Again, in the context of what is canon or not my taste is irrelevant, but I digress. I am sitting at home and is a bit bored is all. Christmas gifts bought already etc. Live Long And Prosper. 🖖
