Look for his autobiograpy "in his own words". He reads the audiobook, and it's like he's just telling you the story of his life in long form.

I was honoured to meet Mr Shatner at the Calgary Comic Expo. I lucked out in catching a moment of nobody in line and he certainly took advantage of not having to rush me away for the next person. I don’t think I asked him a single thing, he asked me question after question. Who I was, what did I do, what were my interests. It was a really beautiful moment where he seemed to really want to connect with me. I’ll never forget it.

William Shatner's contribution to Star Trek and to many peoples lives is immeasurable. My moral sensibilities come from Kirk.

I remember him telling a story how he was living in his car in 1969 not long after Star Trek was off the air and listening to the broadcast of the moon landing on the radio. Life is so interesting how everything turns out. And our lives are better watching and listening to this man.

Thank you dear sir William Shatner for playing an iconic and amazing character of James Tiberius Kirk and bring him to life with your emotions and acting. I am currently 33 years old and will never forget in the year 2002 and when I was just little over 11 and half when I saw The Original Series. I felt like this is what I want to watch, this is where I belong, where WE ALL belong together. Ever since then I have been an avid Star Trek fan and it's all thanks to you and your castmates. Thank you dear sir! God bless you and may you have many years to come. Respectfully, A Star Trek fan 🖖

William Shatner, Star Trek/acting career aside, is such a clever and interesting man. Yes I’m a fan. The most significant moment in my life I remember as if it were yesterday, was sat on the floor with my friend eating spaghetti hoops on toast, glass of milk. The first time I ever watched Star Trek. I was about 4/5 I believe. My late Dad always used to say the Sci fi stories he read had so many lessons to be learned about the past and future that could, if we let them, help us in years to come. He gave me his love of reading and thinking about things that my peers didn’t even consider. Nothing else has ever had such an impact on me.

I am incredibly excited for this William Shatner is my hero, my sister followed him since the Canadian Theatre days, she showed me his work, I first saw him in something in 1958, Then Judgment in Nuremberg, 1961, From there I followed and collected every one of his T.V. and movie works he has done from then til now. Only missing Star Trek Phase II, The western where he was playing twin half Breed brothers, and Barabary Coast, and some of the Unexplained!!! GaryBailey 🍀🌹🍀❤🇺🇸🇨🇦🇬🇧🇦🇮💚🌩️⚡

William Shatner is a World Icon and Treasure! I don't care about his view on life, politics, etc., the man is entitled to whatever he believes and whatever he wants to say, so I have tremendous respect for that, whether I agree or not. All I do know is he deserves the world's thanks and appreciation for his entertainment he has given all of us, and to me Star Trek is his greatest and most important role, though he could and should be proud of many other roles he has done, and I for one will always love the man for his portrayal as Captain and Admiral Kirk! Because science-fiction is not taken seriously by awards like the Academy Awards, etc., which is ludicrous to me, but anyway he deserves multiple Academy Awards and most other acting awards, just look at his range and talents in so many different roles! The man is incredibly talented and I owe him a huge amount of gratitude, to me he is among the top five actors and to be honest people of this generation (my 1965 year of birth until now) and I am selfish to say I would give anything to have him reprise his role as Captain Kirk in Star Trek, but the way Hollywood works it is all about profit, money, and PC ideals, so it will not happen. Does not matter however in the big picture, he is a legend and I feel truly among the luckiest persons on the face of this earth to have lived and have been able to enjoy him, both on and off screen, and I would not trade that enjoyment for any money in the world! God bless you Mr. Shatner, and please know that even though I see people be critical of you for petty reasons, you have so positively impacted millions of peoples lives, including and selfishly most importantly to me, MY LIFE! Thank you Sir, we all love you and Godspeed to you!

I fell in love with Kirk back in 1974 when Star Trek replaced Bonanza in the afternoon right after school and before the news. Absolutely fell in love with Kirk as much as only a 12 year old girl can, and have been a Trekker since. Shatner has always been a favorite, I've followed him from show to show, movies, SNL - which I found funny, and now social media. He's a force of nature.

That was intense. Star trek. That solitary show that didn't depict the future as what is far more likely - a dystopian hell - described by William Shatner, the actor that 'got it' but looks so upset for us because he feels that it may just be a fiction. That's so deeply sad.

Interesting his comments for the "oh my." In prior interviews he highlighted the way he said it in the film for reasons of Kirk doing some things in his career that might not be looked upon so well in the after life. That maybe what he was seeing was something... spooky. SOERT OF implying the gates of hell or something along those lines. "OH MY." That stuck with me for a long time. I don't mind his revision said here. Especially with this new short film, honoring the moment. It's a far more pleasant outlook. :)

Great interview, Bill still going strong. But, it is well documented the reason why Nimoy stop speaking to him was due to _Bill's inclusion of footage of Leonard in his documentary "The Captains" against his wishes._ Bill has probably been told this and has _a tendency to not accept blame for relationships failings, or sometimes dubious things he's done or said._ That said, it is most unfortunate that Nimoy couldn't get over that pique in the waning days of his life. But, so much is left unsaid toward the end.....

I came up with an idea for the fourth Kelvin star trek film, if theres going to be one: Chris Pine's Kirk experiences visions of a colony massacre. He learns that they are memories- memories of his older self from the original timeline that Spock and Nero came from. Kirk learns that his other self is alive and being held a prisoner and he goes to rescue him. Starfleet discover that the Romulan Empire is being controlled by a dictator who authorised the execution of thousands of colonists on Tarsus 4 from years ago. Kirk needs help from the original Kirk to stop this tyrant from destroying the Federation.

Star Trek Generations should never have brought the original cast into the movie. Star Trek 6 was a good sendoff for Kirk and his crew. It should have been about the next-generation cast only. About Bill's decision not to attend Leonard Nimoy's. Funeral, Maybe he couldn't handle it. There have been many funerals of loved ones that I didn't attend because I couldn't handle it. My dad was the same way. Bill made a decision and I respect that. I hope that he has made peace with George Takei and Walter Koenig. Life is too short to hold a grudge.
this is a really honest interview, wonderful. love Bill 🖖 Generations & everything after TOS purely for $, absolute abomination. nothing can match the 60s.

Captain Kirk's "OH MY" expression Fits.... Because like you said in the wrath of Khan he has always cheated death.... And now when he's actually at deaths front door.... The realization sets in that this is REALLY The END. SO HIS FACIAL EXPRESSION IS JUSTIFIED and it fits with the scene. Although the overall Death Captain Kirk was Lackluster unsatisfying😞😞

I like Shatner but he's talking like a foolish atheist which he in fact is. However for that matter, so was Rodenberry. Furthermore most democrats love Star Trek, you need to look no further than 'woke' Stacey Abrams who was in fact on a Star Trek show and embraces the idea that the God of the bible is false. Star Trek adds more fuel to the fire for the Marxist /communist 'woke' democrats which leaves the God of the bible out of the picture. However I love the comradery between Kirk, Spock, and McCoy. It was in my opinion the best sci-fi show of all time.
