I had my own David, actually named David, who was the best husband and father I could have ever dreamed of. He passed away suddenly at only 45, leaving me widowed with 5 children. When one finds their David, always savor and appreciate every moment you get together. David Wooley is correct...don't waste time getting irritated about petty stuff.

My husband is a David. I have never met a David who wasn’t a good man. I fell in love at first sight. Way before he spoke to me. We celebrate 40 years of marriage next month. We had one date before we got engaged. He was in the military. We met on a Friday. I met my family for coffee afterwards. They were all saying you’re going to marry him. I said I know. I did know. Went out on Saturday. He left on Sunday. I wrote him every day. We talked for 10 minutes Sunday afternoon. This was before computers and cell phones. One year later he came home. We got engaged immediately. He left for nine more months. Came home and got married. He was home for a year before he was deployed again. Now we are in our early sixties. Love him so deeply. I don’t know what I’d do without him. He took early retirement to take care of me because of end stage rheumatoid arthritis. Now I’ve been fighting cancer for a year. The treatments make me sick. He never complains. Every woman needs a David.

You know after the kids dad had his accident I didn't date for 9 yrs. The biggest issue present day hubby and I had was that the kids were used to just mom. They didn't want to take instructions of any kind from him and discipline was hard but in time we all were able to support each other and they love him to pieces now oh man and he's a gen with the younger grandkids. That are like just starting school. He always gets on eye level with them hes just awesome .what breaks my heart still is we won't get a sixty anniversary..I'm already 58 and he's going to be 53 next month. And what would have been our only child was stillborn I was already 41 at the time but between us we have 7 kids and some kids we fostered along the way!! Family mean everything to us!!btw. This yr in 2025 will be our 21 anniversary!+🎉🎉🎉 Love that guy to pieces!!!
