Honestly being isolated has not affected me. The virus and the effects have, but not the isolation. I think people just have an issue being with themselves. Even though as a nurse I'm still working and going out in the elements, but just being alone with my kids has been my norm always. Never really went out alot anyways unless I had to. DISCLAIMER EDIT: I didn't feel like I had to restate what I meant by my post, but some have just gotten way offended. Let me first say I was not referring to Tia personally. I love her personality and her light is seen a mile away. I wish I came across more like her. Secondly i was not personally referring to any particular individual because i do not personally know anyone on this thread so why some got offended like I was personally calling them out, I'm not sure. Thirdly, when I said people have an issue being by themselves I should have specified SOME people. I was referring to those who cant stand to be alone because it makes them face themselves and their issues and they cant run from them now. I want to give a shout out to all my nurses and those in the medical field risking their lives as well as those still working in other jobs risking their lives. For those hurting and in mourning I truly pray that God help give you strength in this time and let you know you arent truly alone. If my response was harsh, forgive me as I am under stress as is everyone at this time. I go to work not knowing whether I will get sick at any moment. For those saying I have my kids so I dont know about being alone, I wasnt always a mother and I did live away from my family for many years with no job or car, so yes I do know about being alone. And lastly, we should all learn contentment in whatever state we are in knowing God is the author and finisher of our faith. If you are wishing you had some kids so you wont be alone, thank God that you dont have any to worry about them getting sick or extra mouths to feed cause it is hard trying not only to protect yourself but your family! My children are in my home, but I still try to limit my contact with them because I'm a nurse.... Instead of thinking , well this person works so they're not truly in isolation, thank God that even though you may be sitting at home you're not in the hospitals with not enough protective gear and helplessly watching people die... we are not just socializing or using this as a time to relieve ourselves of isolation!! If we had a choice I believe many of us do wish that we could stay at home, but our hearts wont let us.. God bless and everybody just love and try to learn from this... it's not over yet. Peace....

It doesn't mean people are uncomfortable being with themselves if they are having a hard time dealing with being inside or away from other loved ones. You just said your still working so you are not being indoors 24/7so you can't speak on what it's like not working or doing anything but being indoors. Even going to work daily and staying home the rest of the day is something ppl take forgranted, which it sounds like you are. I get that some ppl are more introverted, which it sounds like you are as you explained you stay indoor most of the time anyway. For someone who is extroverted and is used to spending time with their loved ones, it may get to them after a while. There is no company like my company. I am enjoying working from home and having my time to myself and with my kids. But by week two, I began missing my twin sister. Friday is our movie night and realizing this friday that we can only watch from eachothers tablets just isn't the same. We can't give each other manicures and facials. These small moments in time and memories we share now mean so much. You may not feel it now as everyone's timing is different but maybe by next week or if it drags on for months, you just might start to feel it. If you share no bond with anyone outside of your quarantined space at home and don't understand what I'm saying and how Tia must feel than I feel sorry for you.

I'm glad you're not affected by all of this but not everyone is lucky to have people around them i.e their own family. My nuclear family lives all over the world. I don't have family of my own here in the US so I'm alone ALONE, only a roommate I see every once in a while. I work from home and currently in a long distance relationship. When people talk about self-isolation, try to think about people that actually don't have anyone around them. Thanks!

I needed this comment. I had finished week of total isolation due to cancertreatment only for my doctor to call me and tell me he canceled my future appointments and to re quarantine my my household. I felt scared but I am following direction.I think we need an occasional it's gonna be ok from a stranger. So thank you, and stay safe people. My doctor even said positivity is needed for recovery.

It's not being home for that short or long time but what it means to some, illness, death, loosing love ones, loosing jobs, loosing freedom, loosing contact and connection. Theres is many reasons especially for those with no income and children are at stake. Seeing the bigger picture helps, not the materialistic stuff. Alone x is good, slowing down and pacing yourself is great too and meditating. Financial issues, undocumentation, family size are factors not including anxiety , depression and other mental illnesses that doesn't help in these times . The not knowing and waiting game the feelings that come up, Just a thought. Everyone is different no right or wrong way of reacting. Stay safe!🙂

Our family is stationed in Italy at this time, so I truly understand Tia's tears and missing family, were going into week seven of lockdown and our 12th grader and 10th grader (both boys) have been making the most out of the last seven weeks and has stayed very positive- they had one moment of sadness because they love running track and wasn't able this year and this would've been our seniors last time running in high school. This is perfect timing to reconnect with the Living God, Jesus is waiting and able to give a peace even through the rough times and COVID-19 is rough! I believe life is changing for many and with all the sadness's that has taken place here in Italy, we have heard so many stories of thanksgiving even through the tears many are counting blessings and gaining understanding on what's really important in life and the living God and family are very important. It's always good to see Tia and Tamera, I have always loved the pureness about them both, I just said that like I know them, and I don't, but they both seem like sweet women.

Fell ya. We may never see, hug , kiss the people we love ever again. If people get sick we won't be able to see them at the hospitals and/or funerals. May everyone reach out to the people they loved, and presently love. Reach out to the people that meant anything to us in our lives if we can friends, teachers, mentors long list cousins. They’re a very connected and vulnerable family. Their love is beautiful. And I’m very much the same with my family. It’s been very hard not being with them, being able to talk on the phone is great but it’s so hard still bc I want to hug them and be near them. I’m staying inside, just like they are, bc we hope to see each other again one day when this clears up. People are losing their family to this illness and if all I can do to help is stay inside to protect someone else or myself, then so be it. We’re all in this together and we will emerge stronger.

We were watching a sermon today for Easter and one of the things he said which was beautiful was that right now we are actually the closest we've ever been to what the early church was like and doing. We are all worshiping God together as brothers and sisters closely and at home and everyone around the world is worshiping him as christians at the same time together watching and even those watching other sermons. We then prayed and it was like you could feel the believers all around the world worshiping and praying together as One at the same time. It is Awesome and this time has been a great Reset for the church to just get in their bible and even new believers to realize the church is not a building it is like Jesus said The body of believers, the bride Of christ. Some have relied on the church building for so long and now we get to just be in our bibles and truly understand that the church is all around us and we are all one in the body of christ.. It just was....Yeah it felt ...Amazing.
