When Calls the Heart's Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith on If Lee and Rosemary Will Have Kids

Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith opened up about Lee and Rosemary possibly expanding their family in season 8 of 'When Calls the Heart,’ when it returns to Hallmark Channel in 2021. The actors also reacted to the epic cliffhanger in the season 7 finale and shared their thoughts on Team Nathan versus Team Lucas, and whether they think Elizabeth will make a decision in the upcoming season. As for filming more episodes per season, Hutton and Smith both agreed they’d love to make that happen for their dedicated fanbase, the hearties.

I agree with Kavan to have 16-18 episodes a season! As far as children for Lee and Rosemary, as a woman who dealt with infertility my self....everyone says adopt, then you relax and have your own. No, let Rosemary think she is Ill, then find out she is pregnant. Then let them meet a child from the orphanage and adopt him/her. The adopted child will always know he or she was really wanted and loved, so would the baby.

Team Nathan!! Here is my theory;) Elizabeth never got to enjoy Jack as her husband, because he chose to leave, with that being said she never got to enjoy him as her husband and a Mounty. So I would love to see her with someone who gives her a challenge in lher life. Willing to let her not only write, but let her except new challenges that's ahead for her. I just feel like Lucas, will always treat her Iike a princess or someone that's not able to get out of any situation on her own. I just think he would put her on a pedestal. I'm just saying

I’m team Nathan and I have always been team Nathan! Lucas lives in a romance novel which isn’t going to work out well when the realities of life sink in for him. Nathan is the kind of guy who would love you completely and would stand by you no matter what. Erin K hinted in an interview that who Elizabeth ends up with will be fate based and I can’t wait to watch it all unfold. I want to see Nathan take Elizabeth and Jack on a picnic with Ally and then on a date just the two of them. As for Lee and Rosemary, I hope they adopt and then find out they are expecting! More episodes would be amazing, especially because some of them feel rushed. A lot of people have said a series doesn’t have to end because the main couple gets married and I agree. I find some series drag out the relationship so it gets cancelled and they end the series with a wedding. The writers of WCTH are smarter then that and the fans want a decision, not a dragged out who is she going to choose season. Team Nathan!

I loved that moment. A perfect scene! I think Elizabeth made the decision with her heart and didn’t overthink it. I’m sure she was partially having a Jack flashback but Nathan is a good man like Jack. He doesn’t profit off others but he cares about everyone. In a split second, she knew!

Hallmark has the great initiative about pet adoption why not kids too? This is my FAVORITE SHOW!! I loved the finale with Elizabeth and Nathan and Lucas!!! It was awesome ...I was wanting Lucas to win..but I knew Elizabeth really has feelings for Nathan. On the final scene, Nathan’s reaction puzzled me. Yes to Lee and Rosemary having a baby! I agree about way too long in between shows! However they solve that problem. It annoys me that we have to wait and continually watch teasers for ? Months. My other issue is we have to pay a lot for cable, why do we have to pay again for season 6 and 7. I truly love the show and feel like I am part of the community (grandmother perhaps?) you notice there aren’t any!!! ❤️🌻

Nathan was definitely in shock having lost a colleague and nearly dying himself. Kevin in an interview, said of course Nathan was overjoyed that Elizabeth was in his arms, but that it was under very traumatic circumstances with the loss of his colleague. Kevin also said we don’t know if Nathan has ever been in a situation like that before, where someone died on his watch. Erin agreed with him that the circumstances were traumatic. Having seen patients who have just experienced something traumatic, who go into shock, Kevin played the part very realistically. Hope this helps

Team Nathan. He's not as communicative as Lucas, which causes him to have to work harder at expressing himself. To me, that makes it more interesting. Lucas, easy reader....eventually it will get boring. Rosemary, adopt or have a baby in Season 8 or it will be a disappointing season. Easy fix, I agree....bring Jack back.

I have not long discovered When Calls the Heart, and I'm watching from Ireland, so I'm on Season 6 Episode 4, and I'm team Elizabeth and Lucas all the way. It has to be. They have better chemistry, plus, there was only one Mounty for Elizabeth, and.that was Jack. So it makes sense to take Elizabeth away from that and have a life with someone else like Lucas, where there isn't the thought of him being taken away from her constantly hanging over them, like it would be if she was with another mounty. Another thing I would like to see is Lee and Rosemary having a child of their own, as they would make wonderful parents ❤❤❤

Lee and Rosie are the main reason I watch the show because Kavan and Pascale are PERFECTION on the screen together. Whoever cast both of these actors together is a genius. Amazing chemistry. So natural. To add, I think Fiona and Lucas would be such a fun pairing to have on the show. I wish the writers went into their direction because they are both spunky and fiery. The whole triangle went on for too long that Lucas is kind of stuck in that storyline. In both S6 and S7 finales, Elizabeth leaned more towards Nathan (first looking at him while dancing with Lucas, then running into his arms in front of the whole town). I think her heart is with Nathan. So I hope Lucas will finally get a different storyline with Fiona in S8. It's time to move ahead.

They should adopt the little boy that was having a hard time adapting to the loss of his parents. Rosemary might want a little girl to keep him company so they have one of each. Rosemary should become pregnant but keep the secret for awhile, scared that her pregnancy could be a figment of her imagination. No morning sickness, but she ends up having twins, making them have an instant larger family. More challenges for balancing both their lives, and some sort of challenge with the pregnancy or children to bring everyone together.
