He's a beautiful guy probably afraid to become a father because of his relationship with his own father and and that he wants to be able to spend time with his child and his career would probably take him away from that family. I know he wants children and being Jewish and Christian background he may want to do it the traditional way. Totally up to him . I said take the leap in finding love and being in love and let whatever happens happen. Jake is a free spirit and I dig that about him the most. He's also 40 now and would hate to see him alone. He says he's afraid that he's not mature enough to be a dad that's why I said take the leap . there is no manual for being a parent and he has enough love to make good decisions about fatherhood. Just love this guy and want the best for him 💜

@@BB-lx7wm if by “take the leap” you meant become a father then that’s fine, he has said he wants to be a father so if that’s what he wants, I hope it happens. And if that’s what you mean by taking the leap then, alright. As for him being with someone, he’s already with someone now, some French model. And he’s had other girlfriends so he’s “taken the leap” to be with someone quite a few times already, of that he doesn’t appear to be afraid. What were you referring to when you mentioned his relationship with his father?

Why the media labeled "Brokeback Mountain", a "gay cowboy movie" was always confusing to me. In that locale, in that day, there was no such term, as "gay". And they were sheepherders; at least for the Ennis character, not cowboys. Hollywood was skittish when it came to acknowledging the greatness of this movie. I totally understand why. But what was also confusing, was the obsession a certain talk show host had with the movie; and during the Oscar voting season. Also, certain actors who benefited from playing characters assumed to be of that orientation, came out as holier-than-thou regarding this. Again, one understands why; and agrees; albeit half-heartedly (It might open doors, to the detriment of Hollywood and world society). The movie won numerous awards all over the world, even in "red" states in the USA. Finally, I was very grateful to actor, Daniel Day-Lewis, when he won a Screen Actors Guild award for Best Actor, and dedicated his prize to Heath Ledger, for a performance, that was for him, the best he could remember.
