Emily Blunt is HARDLY an introvert. She has an irritating habit of interrupting and interjecting when another actor is speaking, along with her, to an interviewer. Still, a pleasant personality and formidable acting chops.

I would have to probably agree, except maybe Jurassic Park way back in the 90s. It's def the most excited Ive been in recent memory. Two years ago when this was announced, I was like YES. I love high quality WWII films and this is one I've always wanted...Fat Man and Little Boy was not that good. I'm fascinated by atomic energy so a dense, science-y movie about it is gold to me.

Me too! Partly because I lived in Los Alamos for 13 years and honestly, feel I have a bit of trauma from it. But New Mexico and the history is just so important and impactful to our country. History is important. We need to know and learn. There's never been a more important figure in human history than Oppenheimer, IMHO.

I’m happy for RDJ to be able to find a project that elevates him to a level that allows him to be distinguished apart from the MCU’s “Iron Man”. It’s hard to do that when you’re known so well for a specific role. He fucking killed it. So did Cillian and Matt. Florence and Emily were flawless. But really the star of this was Nolan. Masterpiece.

What makes Nolan unique is how brilliant he is as an artistic mind but also down to earth as a professional, he's not hiding behind amazing script ideas and actor's talent, but actually is into the technical aspects. That's the thing about him, and its very rare, and so far he is on top of that in the industry right now. Probably Denis Villeneuve is somewhat getting to this as well with Dune, but with Nolan its in every movie he created.

I think one of the reasons Barbenheimer has been such an event is because both films, their stories, the characters, but especially the filmmakers and talent behind both of them are so sincere, engaging, and insightful that it's been like a giant chicken soup for our society's soul. And these films both go into what it's like to feel stuck in the middle of moral conundrums in a very two-sided culture. Just wonderful to experience.

This is the only movie I can remember from Nolan that I accidentally did not watch anything other than knowing the name of the movie and the plot being about the Manhattan project before watching it. Worked out perfectly. Had no idea who was in the movie, no idea about the music, no idea about any of the lines and it was just an entirely epic and moving experience.

Such a trip. Seems like they are at such a peak of acting, that they are able to transport themselves outside of themselves and really inject themselves into Nolans direction and idea of the actual people they are trying to portrray. It may just be me, but it seems truely inspirational to see people at this peek of their game.

I think it only works because of this. Cillian really embodied Oppenheimer and while the other characters are underdeveloped the fact that we recognize most of them helped mentally fill the gaps for the audience. It’s almost like cheating through character dev in a way

I read the Sherwin and Bird bio that inspired this film in a class called United States in the Nuclear Age, and our entire class (which was a seminar, only 8 students), came to feel so strongly about Oppie and his story. We got really emotionally involved for some reason, each of us having a different reading of his life leading up to Los Alamos and the fallout and how he felt, it was the most incredible experience I had in a classroom. It’s kind of breaking our hearts that those 8 students are spread across the country now, because we all wish we could go see this film together. I can’t wait to go, because it looks like Nolan and the cast felt the same thing we did in learning this story.

Nolan always blows our mind. His work made us know more about science. And myself espesially, when i watched interstellar, i only knew basic stuff that school has tought, but after i watched it, it impacted to me so much as i only knew so little and it make me want to learn more about our universe. Since his movie based on real science, i felt like it can entice people to increase knowledge or even inspired people to pursue career in science.

I've heard of people having that kind of focus and clarity and you feel it in the environment the way these actors are describing Christopher Nolan. Another example would be Thomas Keller and how you feel it in his restaurant and the staff, the focus, intensity and clarity that permeates through. People at the top of the field are like that.

Couldn t have imagined a story with this many facets better suited to Nolan s style or a better choice than Murphy being Oppenheimer supported by Blunt with her unique talent of shining whilst making others shine even more and I haven t come to Damon and Downey yet... That s THE actors genuinely able to being their roles instead of acting as if they were under the guidance of THE director known to unite complexity in serene simplicity whilst making it all a visual feast. I bet this is gonna be gripping and yeah calling it now, possibly the future monument to Nolan s style of directing.
