Great video. I have a '17 Q50RS, love the car. I was nervous about the DAS, but have grown to love it. The DAS gives very quick and precise steering. I've gone on few 8-9hr drives and the DAS is fantastic at reducing fatigue. After 2 years of DAS, I find I dont like driving our other regular steering cars nearly as well. I upgraded the exhaust and switched to Mich Pilot Sport 4s tyres. Huge difference in how the car performs.

The tires are the biggest difference makers. Good choice in tires

I'm a bit late to the party, but yes, my 17 Q60RS DAS has been no issue at all. This is a proper GT car and DAS does not seem to detract from that experience! As for tires, I put Mich Sports on my old Q50 Hybrid and did not like them much. With the Q60 I put Goodyear F1 Eagles and they seem to be a perfect match. The stock run-flats are embarrassingly atrocious. I have no idea what Infiniti were thinking there...?

I have a 2017 Q60 Red Sport 400 and I'm averaging 21.4 city and 26.4 highway. I decided to pass on the DAS not a fan of steering by wire (not yet anyway). I can't wait to see what the 2020 will bring. Looking forward to it.

2017 AWD DAS RS here. Actually in the U.K. there are probably 20 red sports making it very unique. DAS takes a while to adjust muscle memory. But it’s responsiveness and adjustability is excellent and the way it handles our ancient roads with steep camber, rough surfaces, etc, is excellent.

It was nice of you to say that driving the car for some time changed your mind, there are a lot of people on the platform who are pretty anti-redsport. I got mine and went FBO with jb4 and I did z1 slotted rotors front and rear with nismo pads, and the car is a dream. It has more than enough oomf to it and it looks gorgeous. I could see why people opt for cheaper options, but I love the red sport for what it is and it didn't put me in an uncomfortable place financially so I can't complain at all on it. Great review and opinions 👐👍

The larger alternator is to compensate for the added draw of the 2nd water pump from what I have been told. I still haven't gotten a confirmation of that from Infiniti. I have DAS in my Q50 and love it! I wasn't a fan of it at first but after driving it for a while it's been great. 18Q50 RS so it's the 2.0 version of DAS..Also throwing those factory Dunlops in the trash & going to RSR springs helped bring it all alive with DAS.

Lower gearing in the RS than a SS makes it a little better on the highway for rollon. Agree 100% on the OEM pads. After running Carbotech XP12' front and XP10's rear with Z1 two piece brake rotors there is no going back to OEM or similar pads. I just put Ferodo DS1.11 pads in my Q50. (AP Racing BBK). Pads make a huge difference. RWD vs AWD yep weight difference is a biggie. I would absolutely get the HE AND a LSD in a RWD. It was in the 60's today and I forgot how much more power dry cool air makes. Love the blue/red colors. Very handsome car. Did you feel the difference between not having BOV's and having them? To add to D Lugo comment, it is very good for that purpose, and when it comes to quick maneuvers /drivers input with excellent tires. Safety tech def a plus on the car when in heavy traffic. Now i also have bad experiences.. there are 3 computers.. each one costs about 1grand each not including labor.. If one computer malfunctions you cannot just buy one and replace it. You must swap all 3.. they all work and in sync with each other from the start.. Infinitis way of making sure to make money off of you. Also any time you do a battery swap you have to use a back up battery to keep the programming, otherwise the car will lose it after a few minutes. P.I.T.A to reprogram and car must be lifted.. at least front wheels off of the ground.

I have a 2018 RWD White Q60S, black interior (one of the only 60 2018 models) Q60S in Australia. I got it for a bargain of 70000 AUD (43,267 USD) brand new. This car is almost half the price of S5/C43 here in Australia. I wish they offered dark brown leather or wood trims cause thats my favourite interiors in cars. Thats why I think the new Mazda 6 atenza have one of the best interiors for their price range. I can say this car turns way more heads than Mercs and Audis which are everywhere here. Interior quality (all leather/soft touch/carbon fibre) barring infotainment destroys Audi. My brother has an s3 and he says my seats are way comfier and better for GT. Also everything is leather and not alcantara which is way cleaner. Exterior looks I think is better than Mercs.
