We get together have some good food and drink then we all call different scammers and see who can hold them on the phone the longest, that person being the winner. We have a blast and no one is getting scammed for as long as we can hold them on the phone. Like you I wish I had the skill of this gentleman. I'm a police officer and I'm tired of taking these reports where people are scammed anywhere from 100 to seriously $50,000. Its unfortunate that I have to sometimes tell them that I cannot do anything to bring them justice. (at my level at least) Seriously thank you for fucking with these assholes. Often times the authorities hands are tied by due process. These civilians however are not bound by this obligation. It's much easier for us to turn a blind eye when the good guys break some rules. Mind you that due process is necessary to protect the innocent as well.

The Indian scammers dominate the scam of the English world. The Taiwanese dominate the scam in the Chinese world. The Chinese victims are usually retired old people who would lose their entire savings. The government actually made the effort to arrest these scammers from oversea (they often operate from a third country). While Taiwan always makes a fuss of it every time a bunch of scammers were sent to mainland China jails. In the cases the scammers were sent to the island of Taiwan instead of the Chinese mainland, they get immediately released and hailed as heroes.

Police departments should pay a flat fee of $40+/hr for a scam investigator, and then give a $1000 bonus for each scam operation successfully shut down. Sadly, pay is low nowadays in all sectors, especially in an era of inflation brought on by oil prices, the current virus and an unnecessary war. Better incentives for investigators would shut down these scammers forever.

Ok so about an hour later my Grandma got a call. Then she told me told me to grab her computer so I did I didn’t think much of it for a while. Then she had been on call for about 10 minutes. I got suspicious and said “grandma what are you doing” she said “oh this guy wants me to go to my Bank account because we have to cancel something.” And the first video I saw explained why they want you to go to your bank account and what they do. And right there I realized it was a scam and hung up before it was too late. THANK YOU SO MUCH

I was scammed in my twenties, I had an issue with someone stealing my identity so when the "IRS" called me in regards to fines I had occured, I believed it. 3 k was emptied from my account, penniless I became homeless eventually and spent the next seven years unable to recoup. I'm so sorry that happened to you. A few years ago, my daughter's boyfriend in college also got a call from the "IRS" claiming he owed taxes and penalties. He was completely freaked out, but he didn't have any money to give them. He said the scammer was SO convincing that he was sure he was going to jail. Finally he called his parents to ask for the money so he wouldn't be arrested, and they recognized he was being scammed. My father was scammed just a few days ago. They almost got $50K from him, but his credit union recognized it as a potentially fraudulent transaction and red flagged it. Fortunately financial institutions are catching on these scams and actually doing something to protect their customers. I wish that had been the case for you and you'd had someone to help you. I'm really sorry.

I used to work with the elderly as a carer and they all have a special place in my heart and I thank you guys for looking out for them. However, in the day to day most people don't deal with obviously evil people looking to DIRECTLY harm them, but rather well-meaning people who don't even know they have been trained (conditioned is a better word) to harm their own nation. People are conditioned to passionately misplace their "faith" in what seems logical enough. It's typically the smartest of people that are most easily fooled, because their pride. Everyone needs to check their pride. Are you self-reflecting or thinking you know that other side that MUST be the wrong side, because it doesn't line up with what you think is the correct side? Innocent people get scammed all day long, but typically the people who scam us are not nefarious, but well-meaning and well conditioned to scam. Why? Because they also are scammed, they were scammed by those who thought it's "for the best." The vast majority of people are innocent and ignorant, BUT they all see the failures of lies creating red flags that they could humble and look into. Most of the time the people who have been made to trust and love don't even know they are feeding you false information, they are so far removed from the truth with layers of lies they have no clue. How much better the world is when your not being manipulated by the worst in it acting like hate is love, and the fear based pushing of lies is kind. At the core of things we all know right from wrong. In life, and I am not taking about phone scammers, you should see red flags everyday, that shouldn't stress you out, it should bring you peace that you see it and know you don't need to buy into it or be used to make others buy into it. Check your emotions, including pride, and humbly seek the truth by going to the primary sources. What I am taking about is nothing strange, it's just how we need to navigate life for ourselves and not trust "unbiased fact checkers" to actually have no bias when their donners are who they say is so great and elevated them to the level they are at. Look at the thing that you deal with every day; ads trying to get your loyalty, movies you love pushing even good seeming agendas(based on whose facts?), paid influencers (such as vlogers) are paid to influence, others are censored and suppressed via slanderous attacks and literal removal based on slanderous lies people WANT to believe so they do. Even friends, teachers, and anyone lifted up as a hero is often used in overly simplified ways (and the same goes with villainizing people) so that your conditioned to form overly simple beliefs so you "create your own truth" as you see the world as confusing you. The truth is multifaceted, but never conflicting unless YOU try to hold onto a lie. You have more power to be a good guy than you think, but most of the time it is simply telling grandma not to give people her card info or you seeing what was actually said in context from the primary source and not some edited clip with bias narrating what your to think, feel, assume, and fear. Make sure no one turned you into an emotional parrot passionately repeating half-truths and lies. This stuff is so subtle, but you see red flags, simply care enough to look into matters and as an individual you will do so much good even if that's the type of thing you do alone and without people seeing what you have done.

The thing is, they just go some place else and start over again. So all this is really doing is just making it inconvenient for maybe a week till they move. It would be different if the US had the backing of India and had agents that could raid the place as soon as he notifies them and they could be sent back to the US for trial. That might slow the scammers down. Till that happens, the scamming will continue.
