One of the things I enjoy the most about this channel is how he tells the story of a card or deck chronologically from its introduction to today. I like to follow along with what I was doing personally at the time, as I was around since a little after global launch and I remember what’s generally considered to be the golden age of clash (2016-2018) very well as I was in high school at the time.

At 17:45, the reason for this change was masteries. Guards and E-spirit had 10 levels of mastery, while Goblin Gang and I-spirit had 7 levels of mastery.

Thank you so much, I was waiting for this to be uploaded! The Log was my first and favourite Legendary card when they generally were cool and I want to go back to the days where it was under appreciated and needed some love. It was always a problem and a solution to the problem at the exact same time ever since the Zap couldn’t wipe out goblins. Personally, I just feel like if smaller spells competed just like the Log, it would balance the use rates, even though the all other spells like the rocket need to be brought down like you said.

Maybe my cycle isn't fast enough, but most of the time it's because my opponents are carrying 2 small spells, log and arrows, for example, it's annoying but I've found my way around them. Honestly speaking though I know what you mean it can be annoying to go against logbait, I have some of this frustration as well when I go against other logbait decks, though for me it's rare since logbait inherently can also counter logbait, at least in my case.

As long as spells continue being overpowered, bait will be somewhat viable, not only logbait, but fire ball bait too, spells are the crutches of a lot of decks and when you manage to take them away the decks will fall apart very fast, 2.6 is only viable because you can spell cycle + using the log to make the hog rider hit extra hits against good defenses, spells and buildings made this game a lot harder to balance

2.6 is even less viable than classic logbait which itself is dead as rocket is currently worse than clone. It's only used in lower arenas because it is very easy to level up.

​@@Orangutanusyea I was about to say that, you could use evo skeletons, evo firecracker, evo knight, hell even evo mortar if you can count it as a logbait viable card like he mentioned in the video. But what he said is true, logbait has always found a way to anchor itself into the meta no matter what supercell did to it, that's what I find most interesting, I myself do use logbait, but none of the variants that were mentioned. I kind of changed it to my personal preferences which I think is great about logbait, it has more flexibility and variety than a lot of other archetypes which means that although the concept of logbait is the same, it can still feel somewhat fresh for the person using it and the person going against it since you can put so many cards in logbait. I've always loved that aspect of the archetype.

I feel a 4th goblin being added to the goblin barrel would make sense considering the goblins card has 4 goblins. ‘Cause my understanding of goblin barrel was that you were paying 1 more elixir to be able to place goblins anywhere on the map. But, now that goblins have 4 goblins, it just doesn’t feel worth spending 3 elixir anymore especially since people don’t even need a light spell to counter goblin barrel when they can just play a bunch of troops around their tower and counter push while you’re essentially down 3 elixir.

he made a whole video on the history of exe already and you may be thinking of the rumham rework later, as exe was actually released a few weeks to a month prior to ram, dart gob, and gang... so the first of the group of 4 at the start of the year... and the first new card of 2017... exe also made quite a stand originally most notably in splashyard with nado and against hound decks. he also had some bugs that broke him good or bad, like attack interruption stun as well being able to hit behind him when his axe came back or loosing his axe across the edge of arena and then the screen...
