In Thailand, alternative routes are sometimes cramped and time consumming, i can understand why this person used the restaurant as a short cut, however, in Thailand the restaurant also becomes the owners home. All the man had to do every couple of days was buy a drink, be kind to the cashier, be polite, and they likely wouldn’t have had any issue with him using it as a walkway every once in a while. Because “sure, he only passes through for a coffee on his way to work, but he’s nice to the staff and makes people smile, so we don’t mind.” Just be polite to workers and they’ll be nice to you, customer service goes BOTH ways.

Me too but I also would do it to save an hour. Especially as this was the same set up as a mcdonalds. You order from the counter and go sit at any open table. I know if I was eating at a McDonald's and somebody walked in 1 door, across the restaurant and out the other I probably wouldn't even notice. @@casualweekday-ytshadowbang2469 Some countries actually have implemented laws that will have you prosecuted for posting false statement or reviews on the Internet. If you're going to leave a negative review, you better be able to back it up in court. There are degrees to which this can be taken, but the idea that a disgruntled customer that doesn't like the fact that it rained that day can get together with 5 of her friends and leave negative reviews on a half dozen sites should have a mechanism to correct it. One way to do it would be to weigh ratings as a percentage of total customers and not show an aggregate value until a minimum threshold number of reviews has been submitted.
