The last time someone hit me up to help them with dog food, I went to the store, got a bag of their food, and dropped it off. Got a message a day later asking why I didn't give them the cash instead. Well, that would be due to the fact that last time this was asked of me, the cash didn't buy what was asked for. Instead it paid for dinner for 3 and the animal went without. No, I will never give cash to someone who shows me their furbaby isn't important.

Would come to us because she needed money for diapers and formula, then go to his mom and do the same, and go buy drugs with the money anyway. My husband was paying his ex alimony --- She lied on several occasions that she wasn't getting the money--- This resulted in us having to pay more money to the lawyers (both ours and hers) to prove with the cancelled checks, she had gotten the checks and deposited them to her checking account. One day we got a call from our lawyer --- seems that her attorney had let it slip that she'd remarried several months earlier....WTH??? Our lawyer confirmed it with court records and no more alimony checks. That should have ended the matter ---Right? We knew she'd never repay to money she'd basically stolen by cashing those checks after she remarried. No. She actually contacted us at our jobs and home, asking if we'd keep paying it because her boyfriend didn't work and neither did she --- so they had no income. Guess what we told her? LOL!!!

I have an entitled ex-roommate story for you. She and I were roommates for not quite a full year before she moved out in a total hissy fit one night. I had cracked a joke about going to go get laid as I was getting ready to go see my boyfriend, and when I went into the bathroom to get ready she locked the door behind me- locking me in the bathroom. I did not notice until I got ready to come out of the bathroom, and she says, "now, I need you to really think about whether or not you need to get laid." I calmly, but very firmly, told her that she needs to open the effing door or there's going to be hell to pay. We had a friend over who witnesses all of this, and later told me that as soon as I left, my former roommate flew into a massive hysterical fit screaming that I hated her and so on and so forth. Overnight, while I was gone, she moved out entirely. I'm not exaggerating when I say entirely- she took her bedding, food, her clothes- everything, all gone in one night! I have to admit that I wasn't very sad about it because we had already had a dispute about me getting a lockbox to keep some of my stuff in- namely tampons and random personal care stuff because she would literally use ALL of it, wouldn't tell me, and never offered to pay for anything. She got mad because she couldn't get to anything and "how is she supposed to deal with it? Don't I trust her?!" She and I did not speak for over a year, until one day she calls me sobbing in hysterics, asking me to take her to the local homeless shelter where her boyfriend had been sent to. I might have had some sympathy for her, but she met this guy online and then decided to have him take a bus up to where we were going to University- an all-girls school. In her boundless genius decided to try to sneak him into the dorms and have him just live there, thinking no one would notice. Thing is though, they were having loud sex at all hours of the day and night so..... people noticed. The school gave her the option of them both getting kicked out or him getting kicked out. She didn't have anywhere to go so she elected for him to get kicked out. She didn't have a car though, so in desperation she called me sobbing and boo-hooing over the consequences of her actions. I told her I was getting ready to go to work and I have no time to take her to see her internet boyfriend who she's known for a month (the friend who was there when she moved out had been spilling the tea). After I said I'm busy I don't have time, she hung up on me and never spoke to me again.

After sending my ex husband divorce papers several times to no response he then met a woman and suddenly was eager to get the divorce finalised. After having paid lawyers several times I told him he could do it as I wasn’t risking losing yet more money to be ignored. He then asked if my then boyfriend (now husband) would pay half the divorce costs. Eh, no he won’t. Turned the phone back on, and one of her remarks "I still have your fork!"... Will admit, I sometimes find myself still missing my fork. Photographers, man... I just learned the first part of film processing. This is just removing film safely from the little canister that shields it from light. 1) Go into a small room, lock the door, and make sure it's pitch black in there. 2) While you can't see anything, grope around for the old-fashioned bottle opener and work it around the metal bottom of the canister until you can pry it off. 3) Get the film out of the canister as gently as possible. Hope it doesn't fall on the floor like mine did. 4) Still in the pitch-dark, cut off the first couple inches of film where it's smaller than normal size for feeding around the spool inside the camera. 5) Find the other end of the film and cut off the inner plastic spool. 6) Find your film reel and rotate it until you feel the metal ends under your fingers. 7) While unable to see anything, feed the cut end of your film through a tiny opening in the center of the reel between two unmovable metal sides that aren't designed for fingers to fit between. 8) Once you finally get the film through that slit and manage to keep it there, gently bend the film and blindly feel for the two little spokes that are supposed to pop through the slots on the sides of the film. That's how you know it's "caught" in the reel. 9) Try to bend the center of the film strip without touching the actual film. Slowly feed it into the reel by rotating the reel with one hand while bending uncooperative and curling film with the other. 10) If the film snags, and it will, unroll to the snag point and start over. Do this until you get all the film onto the reel. 11) Place the film reel into a tank and seal the lid over the tank. Now it's safe to unlock the door and let in light. Clean up your scraps. 12) Go to the sink and find the 4 jugs of chemicals you have to handle. 13) Don gloves. 14) Measure out equal amounts of developer chemicals and 72-degree F water before adding them to the top of the water tank. There's a cap to pry off, and you have to tilt the tank so chemicals slide into the narrow slits in the gasket. 15) With one hand, you're starting a manual timer for about 9-10 minutes. 16) The other hand has to rock the water tank 180 degrees for 30 seconds then beat the tank against the sink to loosen air bubbles. 17) Rest the tank for 30 seconds. 18) Agitate the tank 5 seconds per 30 seconds and repeat until the developing timer stops. 19) Pour out that chemical, rinse with water, and pour in a new chemical. 20) Rotate that 180 back and forth for 30 seconds. Pour that chemical out and rinse with water. 21) Put in the fixer chemical and set your timer for 4 minutes. Rock the tank 180 degrees for 30 seconds, rest for 30 seconds, then rock for 5 seconds every minute. 22) Pour out fixer chemical, rinse with water, open the tank and pull out the reel. 23) Unroll some film and check to see if the developing looks finished. If not, you have to repeat step 21. If yes, great. 24) Pour in a chemical that washes away chemicals (make that make sense). 25) Rock the tank for 3 solid minutes while your wrists ache. 26) Pour out the last chemical and lower the film reel into a water tank where it will be flushed with fresh water for 10 minutes. 27) Pull it out and lower it into an anti-water spotting chemical for 30 seconds. 28) Carry the reel to a drying cabinet, attach the film end to a clamp, and unroll the entire film strip. Weight the bottom with a clamp. 29) Dry for 20 minutes. 30) Cut negatives into smaller strips for transport. You haven't even made your pictures yet. PAY YOUR PHOTOGRAPHERS THEIR WORTH. They work their asses off while exposing themselves to chemicals.

The best thing to do when replying quickly in a conversation is to just stop replying and let their last comment linger in the ether, let them wonder when you will reply, wonder why you are not replying, keeping it fresh in their mind, like an awkward greeting from earlier in the day when you are trying to go to sleep. With any luck they will lose their mind and you can then post the ensuing hilarity on on the internet for Charlotte to read in one of her videos!

Getting a photographer for the price of dinner is an absolute steal. Girl should've taken the deal honestly.
@marieknight93852 жыл бұрын
No that’s not a good deal, and it’s professionally discouraged because if one photographer is willing to do free work then all photographers are expected to the same. Always pay your photographer what they ask for or don’t bother asking
@meganjane38092 жыл бұрын
@@marieknight9385 before you go off, that's not what I meant. I meant it's a good deal for the woman hiring the photographer. It's waaaay below the price she would be paying a professional photographer she didn't know and she missed out because she was fixated on getting it for free.
@marieknight93852 жыл бұрын
@@meganjane3809 I don’t care what you meant, it’s rude to expect a skilled worker to do free work in any profession
@meganjane38092 жыл бұрын
@@marieknight9385 I never said I did or ever would expect that. Don't put words in my mouth. I'm saying when the photographer said "if you're paying for my dinner" the other person should have leapt at the chance to get photos done that cheap. My comment was never commentary on what the photographer's work was actually worth. But for the record so you can stop assuming, I would never in a million years think a $30 dinner was the equivalent value of a photoshoot nor would I expect anybody to do it for that. Clear?
@marieknight93852 жыл бұрын

My ex felt entitled to my dad’s Netflix that I used. So when I moved out and got my own, my dad changed his password and then my ex hit me up demanding the new login info. When I told him no (because I didn’t want to and because he has no right to it), he got pissed off and harassed me for 2 weeks straight. It stopped when I told my dad about it and my dad called him. Not sure what was said, but I got an apology and never heard from my ex again. It’s been almost 6 years of peace since then. ☺️

This brings me flashbacks of the time my ex cried on MySpace about his wife (me) and his girlfriend both dumping him on the same day. .. ... ... We did in fact, both dump him the same day because she stopped over to the house to let me know about her. I ditched him because he was cheating. She ditched him because he "couldn't decide what he wanted." ..as if he had an option to stay after that. 🙄

Are you from the U.S.? Here, your client would only file as a single or married unless her boyfriend hasn't worked a minimum of 6 months and she could claim him as a dependant. She could still get her alimony because they not married. I'm sure these days, many remain unmarried but in a relationship to collect. Petty!!! Unless there is a cut off date for some.
