for the first story....im not sure how he was raised because in a lot of households men are treated as kings and the women (wether its moms or sisters or even grandmas) are basically their maid. men just work and women cater to the men (husband and or sons). i come from a hispanic background (im mexican) and my mom (up to this day) caters to my brother like if he's the king of the world. he does no wrong in her eyes and when we were younger i had to do all the chores while he just sat and watched tv. god forbid if he had to pick up his plate after he ate. it was and still is ridiculous. so if this guy was raised like that im not surprised that he thinks and expects for any woman to "cater" to him in that way.

My husband and I had medical insurance for our family. Or so we thought. My husband went into renal failure due to taking ibuprofen for back pain for years. Imagine our surprise when they told us our insurance didn’t cover dialysis. The insurance agent tells us the insurance we got was basically for young people with no health issues. We’re in our 40s. Now, we owe a couple hundred thousand dollars. Be careful about the insurance you get. We thought we asked all the right questions.

I think passcodes for every vendor are a great and saddening thing. It’s a shame we live in a time where instead of sharing someone’s happiness and being the best version of ourselves to support that person, people make everything about them. Also how people have so much hate in them, they invest their time and energy into making someone else miserable. Weddings used to be a gathering of loved ones sharing the love and happiness for a couple. There was no amount that mattered. Big, small, expensive, cheap. I hope we can get back to that time so weddings have meaning again and not a who’s who.

I don't understand men when it comes to their money and how they want to spend it on a date. 😩 They get made when you order too much food-- but in my experience, as a broke person, if I ask, "Hey, are you on a budget?" (I'm asking to be considerate, mind you), the men will also get offended, for insinuating that they're too broke to take me out. Make it make sense!

Don’t judge non-coffee drinkers! I don’t drink alcohol, soda or coffee. Mostly because I take medication that would interact with caffeine and alcohol. Not a severe reaction, but I see no reason to endure any reaction if I don’t need to. Also have to avoid dark chocolate - which is unfortunate.

Oh my word! How did dating become so complicated. I realize I am an older woman who has been married for 35 years but my goodness this is something else. My advice is to today’s young generation never go on a dinner date. I always found them awkward even back in the day. Try choosing drinks and appetizers, lunch or an activity for the first few dates.

my neighbor told their kids that if they went to college they could live at home rent free. but if they didn't go to college they had to get a job and pay rent. some people that's too harsh they are just kids still. i say yes & no to that. when kids graduate high school they are usually 18. And they just Love to lord that over the parent's head. you can't tell me what i can/can't do anymore i''m an adult.well then here's how the real world works If you want to do whatever you want whenever you want you have to pay for everything yourself. rent, utilities, food, furniture, plates, slverware EVERYTHING. they idea that a parent is allowing to just pay rent but is still providing everything else is better than real life. it gives you time to save money so that you can afford to live in a place where hearing gunshots at night is the norm, where you can afford to eat real food rather ramen noodles for dinner every night, My kids all thought they had it figured out and wanted to move out right after they graduated. they actually surprised me. they all made it abought 2 yrs before they needed to come back home to regroup and try again. but at least they tried and it was a good learning experience for them.

Thank friggin gawd I'm off the market. These men have gotten so twisted from listening to the stupid incel alpha types on the interwebs. I would seriously consider throwing that water in first dude's face. I'd at least meet that absurdity with loud, boisterous laughter. I will never "serve" a man, or any other human. I expect an equal partnership and so should all of you. Been married 21 years and my husband and I work together. NEVER SUBMIT YOURSELF! There is absolutely no need to allow yourself to be dominated by anyone.

14:11 when I say "only in America" this is what I mean. Like I'm low key jealous you can get up in a cop's face like that because here in the Caribbean?..... you would be spending the weekend in lockup with a hefty fine waiting on you when you get bailed out. Hell, even cussing a police officer is against the law!

This is why back when I did date, I always paid my own way. It is so much safer that way. Too many men think paying for dinner means paid for intimacy.

I don't get that there are men who wants a traditional woman but they don't wanna be a traditional man themselves. Lol If they wanna go trad and be served, they should treat their woman like a princess/queen. Trad women holds the moneyyyyyy. Lol Trad men earns the bread and gives it to their wiiivvesss. And Trad men knows how to properly court someoneeee. If the trad man/ woman dynamic in their mind is not this, then they aren't understanding what trad is.

I may be wrong but in my mind, if I ask you on a date then I’m paying for everything, like I’m splurging! When I hear people try split the bills on a date then things are weird, unless she goes all out but then still…. I asked so I’m paying, it’s the same for woman

Story 2, ref flag alert, the fiancé isn’t supporting his wife and the fact he says “it’s just a day” makes me think he’s not that interested in the marriage. This bride is being gaslighted by her own family and fiancé by telling her she’s being over dramatic. If it was me I’d marry my fiancé off to my sister and tell her family to do one as well, may feel extreme but this pampering of the younger sister is enabling her behaviour and it’s never going to change.

I photographed all of my brothers weddings and still had the best time at all of them. I gifted all of them the photos as their wedding gift from me. I shot endless rolls of film at each wedding, gave them as many blow ups as they wanted, regular prints, plus whatever additional ones they wanted to share with family and friends. The best part was they all said that they didn't even remember me taking the photos and everyone was blown away by how AWESOME the photos were. His sister was a pc of sh1t!!!!!
