I want to applaud you my friend. This guy just doesn’t get it. Not all of us were born in a time where a soccer mom’s grocery getter has 400hp from the factory. I have a buddy at work who had a nice Fox Body a while back...He told me of several occasions where people were practically hanging out the window asking him if it was for sale or telling him "nice car!"...He traded it in on his 2019 Mustang GT. A good number of people at the dealership were swarming around it, crawling on the asphalt looking underneath it etc. He still regrets trading it in to this day even as good as the newer Mustang is.

I own one of the most iconic imports and I’ve always wanted it. My friends all had foxbodys growing up but I was a fbody and corvette guy. Fast forward to grown up times. My wife wanted a convertible and she loves foxbodys. I bought one and I absolutely love driving it. It’s definitely more fun pushing the old 302 around over the mugen. When I floor the mugen I feel like I’m going to jail. When I rip the mustang the crowd goes wild.

Like I have a Manual Gen 2 2017 Mustang GT and just being in a manual again makes me feel like I am 19 again.. I love rowing my own gears.. OK Yeah with a manual your not going to be the fastest.. My first car was a 1965 Mustang HiPo Coupe when I was 17. Now I’m 70yrs old and just finished building a 1990 240sx drifter with a SR20DET. That I drove to work for 20yrs before I retired and kept. I put the SR20DET in it and put 10k miles on it. Now I’m looking a new edge, s197 to do a coyote swap. Because I like hot rods, and it’s not your hot rod unless you build. I like your channel, I’m subscribe. You provide tons of information that people are interested in and need. Don’t waste your talent or time on spoiled brats that live in their parents basement. I'm 27, fairly young but slowly getting up there. Something i'm noticing is that newer cars are coming with improvements over the years, encouraging the buyers to spend less effort with the aftermarket and tuning. Nobody goes into the science and art of cars anymore because of the criteria met with the contemporary selection of cars. Running a time number, x amount of horsepower, beating comparable new cars, most bang for the buck mods (boost) and just having a short attention span/grocery list for the car world. I have a new edge v6 5 speed, i just swapped in a 302, and doing a pretty radical custom build. I'm getting rid of 90% of the amenities like power brakes/steering, radio, going carb/dizzy, etc because i want to feel what raw american muscle, a raw car in general feels like. I'll admit, i'm making a genuine super car, but i want to know what it feels like to have a beast in it's PUREST form. Another thing about the modern car culture, aside from being on easy mode, is the convenience of bolt on performance. Nobody does custom anymore, everything is off the shelf nowadays. I think we need a resurgence of 60's-80's performance to knock the newer cars down a couple pegs. And to top off everything, there's too much automatic/digital stuff/handicaps. It's no different than just punching the gas in a tesla. I could take a 10 second nap in one of those BuT It'S FaST

I have a 22 f150 rcsb 4x4 a terminator and a 04 subaru sti. Why hate on the subaru? My 04 sti tuned runs the same high elevens in the quarter my pullied cobra does and is less modded and does this with a 2.5. I've owned 6 foxbodys and getting one to coyote swap with a 10r80 next. You should go buy a 100% stock sti tune it on e85 and you would be amazed at how fast it is. Oh and my cobra and sti are the same weight.

I own an 1996 Nissan Skyline GT-R and used to own a 1997 SVT Cobra. The GT-R is significantly better in pretty much every category than the Cobra was. Here is the caveat, the GT-R was about 15k more expensive back in 1996! It should be significantly better in every category. I used to own a Terminator but have an 01 Cobra roller that needs an engine and then I am thinking a turbo system. I also own some old stuff like a 1996 Mustang Mach 1. I don't need everything to be the best, it just needs to be fun. The Mach 1 drives like shit compared to the SN95 and New Edge Cobras I've owned but I love driving it anyway, when it runs. You can appreciate domestic and Japanese cars. It's OK to like both as they both have their merits, strengths, and weaknesses.

For me coming from the 82-82 camaro world the foxbody is my second favorite 80s car because I love 3rd gen camaros, however my recent purchase of the 87 mustang is like buying a Harley Davidson motorcycle. It's a money pit, the aftermarket is huge and you can build whatever you want and be cool!! I wish at 48 I could have owned both the iroc and gt at the same time sooner!! Long live 80's junk cars!!

The younger generation doesn't understand the nostalgia factor in older cars. I loved my old foxbody! Definitely wasn't fast by today's standards, but it was ssssoooooo much fun to drive!! And if you wanna make it stupid fast, it's super easy to do a swap compared to ANY car! You can literally do whatever you want to a foxbody in your garage with not very much knowledge and KZbin. They also don't way 4k pounds! I'd love to coyote swap one! I drive a s550 now and I can't imagine having my drivetrain in an old foxbody. I wouldn't mind having another with a 302 and basic mods again either. They're just super fun cars! But I also love my s550 and I don't think I'll ever get rid of it. I like cool American muscle/sports cars period. Old, new (I hate the s650 though, sorry), Chevy, Ford, Dodge, AMC, whatever.... If it's cool, I'm all in. And if something ain't my cup of tea and belongs to somebody else and it's nice, I respect it. I also know people that don't have very much money, but managed to get a car and I respect that too. I know I'll drive just about anything that will drive. Cars are super super cool. Imagine being here with no cars at all. That'd be awful!
