What floors me is the fact there are people who don't understand those animals. Horses enough kick, no pun intended, to do some serious damage. Also, the person who said falling from that height would seriously injure the child is 100% correct. I've had a few seldom dealing with equines, but it's enough for me to make sure I'm respectful to those animal. if that animal doesn't like me, I'm not going to screw around and believe "I'm the alpha" with a creature that could snap my neck with one good swift kick.

@@amanawolf9166 First time I myself got hurt because of a horse was really my own fault. I was standing too close to its front and when it turned to go in the direction I was leading it it stepped on my foot. And that was just the horse walking. If it had hauled off and stomped I wouldn't have a foot. Learned a good lesson that day. From then on it's always shocked me that people can look at an animal that size and not believe it can hurt them, especially when someone who knows the animal better than them says so

I have a story about my kid self. I was at my grandparents house in a country and was fascinated by the horse. But what made me realized mistake I made is that i scratched its stomach to the point my gramps horse turned around and kicked me into a pipe (thank god because if i hit the wall i would've died and never replied here) and got scared and backed away. Today I'm not scared by the horse, the kick itself wasn't even powerful but potentially deadly.

Story 1: Its pretty obvious that that stupid Karen has never been horse riding. Horses that have trust issues and anxiety like that can be (inadvertantly) deadly. They'll do alot more then just buck you off ina panicked state. I guarantee that if that dumb kid had gone on the horse... that wouldve been a lawsuit waiting to happen. Good thing the OP stood his ground here and hopefully that dumb Karen gets lost. Story 2: Dang, car wrecks like that are brutal. Sorry the OP had to go through that, but also really sorry they had to go through that terrible hospital roomie. I'm really surprised that Scooter wasn't kicked out of the hospital over all of that crap. Story 3: I hate that. Sometimes you have to yell to get your point across and get people to listen. I wouldn't be putting up with her and her antics. Get her to listen and wake up or dump her. Story 4: Yeah that guy is pretty shady... as is the wife. Its totally fine to have close friends or best friends of the opposite sex, but as soon as the friend says that he likes the wife, even despite the fact that he is with someone else. This is a red flag here, and i would be keeping a very close eye on the both of them. I would keep trust in the wife, unless shown otherwise, but the friend? No. Not at all. Story 5: The wife here is beig very shady here. If there was nothing to worry about, she could just very easily gave an explaination, even a vague one... but no, she gets pulls all this crap. OP has every right to be upset here. I'm not sure i would want to be with this woman.

I used to ride horses for a while at a riding school until my unfortunate allergy to horses became too much and I so I’ve had a few accidents. That mother is crazy for wanting to let her small inexperienced child even just walk up to a horse like that, it’s bordering child endangerment! I’ve seen some horses get spooked when people run up to them too fast, he’s lucky the horse didn’t react to that. And I’ve been bucked off and had my foot stepped on. These are large, heavy, and strong animals, one good kick can seriously injure or even instantly kill something as large as a mountain lion. That’s WHY children with no prior experience are set up with small, easygoing/lazy ponies!

I feel for OP In the hospital story. When I was a teen I was hospitalized with pneumonia. I was extremely ill and hardly ambulatory myself. I was assigned a middle-aged roommate who was confined to the bed. She kept demanding that I empty her bedpan in that loud Karen screech we all know and love. Of course I refused, though It was in a whisper as I could hardly breathe without regular treatments, let alone carry on a conversation! Even if I had been willing I wouldn't have been able. Fortunately the nurse came in and heard this woman's tirade and I was soon moved to another room. Fortunately I was alone in that room for the remainder of that hospital stay. I've learned my lesson from that experience. Always pay extra to get a private room!

Story 1 - I also have a horse (well, a pony) and when we got her, she was only bone and sinew and terrified of people. I gained her trust and she started eating again, and soon my confidence increased. I wouldn't trust anyone but my sister to ride her as she's extremely sensitive and timid. She had had a foal before the age of three and had been greatly mistreated by hr first owners. She's extremely lucky to have me and has a heart of gold. I love her and don't want to give her up.

As a horse owner, this infuriates me. Touch my horses reins at any point and I will move my horse to put his hip into you. I will warn you ONCE let go. If you do not promptly let go I will use my horse against you. No one will even attempt to say I did anything wrong because I am defending myself and my horse. The horse for being anxious is a bloody saint in this story. Everyone involved is lucky that the horse didn't spook and panic. He could have reared and gone over backward, He could have kicked or struck. (it is different) He could have lashed out and bitten, and a horse can bite and throw a 350lb person like they are nothing but a ragdoll. The horse was a saint and extreme respect to the owner.

OP keeps saying they trust each other etc. but obviously not so much when this bothers him so much, and I think rightly so. Wife lacks respect for her husband to keep this relationship going. 5) OP should recognize she is not trustworthy and does not respect her him and their marriage. I suggest he give it up, she clearly isn't all in to this relationship. She is gaslighting him, he needs to go ahead and get and attorney and file for divorce.

I taught equitation at a large horse farm that offered trail riding. There are a lot of inexperienced riders who assume riding a horse is similar to riding a bike or motorcycle.🤦 Horses are living creatures with their own minds, feelings and emotional issues. If a guide says "That horse is not suitable for an inexperienced rider" BELIEVE them. These are animals that weigh nearly a ton. They can do A LOT of damage if they panic or are irritable. Caution is always smart. So are helmets.

About the first story. When someone tells you that you can't ride their horse, believe them because you will get hurt. One of my horses didn't like most people and if you messed with him he would hurt you with either his teeth or feet. People don't grab a horses reins it means you are too close to their mouth. The mother in this story was lucky the horse didn't react to her crap. I am 57 years old and grew up with horses, rode all types in most disciplines from bare back to racing. Horses are a prey animal and will either fight or run from threats. And can and have killed people. Always listen to what the owner says and follow instructions to the letter. Then you will have a safe, fun, time.

I'm a person who's grown up with horses and let me tell you that first story is practically painful. Here's a fun story, if you wanna read it, I have multiple experienced horse owners in my family and have ridden horses a couple times. I'm not an expert but I'm very knowledgeable and I can't believe that the mother wasn't worried about putting her kid on a horse that is said to be anxious around kids. One of my family friends is a photographer and a shoot she does every summer involves mini ponies called unicorn photos. My mom helped her one year with moving the mini pony she had rented around and such. This friend is also a past horse owner and my mom lived with horses in her childhood so they were really good with them. The mini pony they rented had done this before and was very calm and sweet. Perfect for this kind of thing. But one thing she would do was stomp when she was impatient. This particular round of photos was taking longer than normal due to difficulties with dresses and hair so my mom was waiting with the pony. This pony had done this many times so when it took a long time she got impatient and started stomping lightly. Due to bad luck and timing this pony, that was half the size of my mom and not even using full strength, stomped on my mom's foot and broke it. A full sized horse might have shattered it. Thankfully everything was fine, but when I see or hear about people being dumb around horses I remember this because while horses are incredible animals, they can cause serious damage. That mother could have hospitalized her kid by trying to get him on a horse who was obviously not going to trust him. If a mini pony who isn't even trying to hurt someone could cause that much damage, image an anxious horse who could freak out due to someone they don't know trying to ride them. Thanks for reading this long story of mine and please be careful around horses.

I don't understand how your wife can get a job and have to relocate without you. Wouldn't that kind of a deal-breaker of a job like either we both move or neither of us moves unless it's just she works on the road a lot I guess.

The op in the first story should’ve made the mom sign a contract so the kid rides the horse and gets hurt and she cant do nothing cuz she sign the contract 😂😂😈😈😈

In my mind, a "lady full of grace" like her definitely has a lawyer like Saul Goodman, so unless you have a lawyer that prepared that contract for you just say "no".

Story 1. "Have you signed a waiver that you will not hold the farm, or anyone working there responsible if your kid gets hurt and you will pay all damages incurred by your son or yourself? Including damages from bad publicity?" No? Then that's my answer. Yes? That waiver doesn't exist, so what else are you lying about?

Karens are a subspecies who don't listen to logic and reason and when "taught" the hard way their go-to reaction is litigation or a vexatious call to your country's emergency number.

3:59 Where are the start and starting off strong also yeah no doing anything like that to a horse is a bad idea since i am told at scouts or when I go around horses at places that allow me to tell me to never walk behind one is if they were to kick it would break my bones in possibly fatally injured me so messing with horses is a terrible idea like she wanted to go to jail (child endangerment)

Even riding a pony can be dangerous, let alone a full sized horse with anxiety. I've ridden both and got away with the horse due to being an assisted ride. But falling off a pony HURTS a lot too. Rather be bruised all over from the pony then break bones on a horse

About second story. Wow, you were messed up. The broken ribs are horrible and the chest tube isn't fun, I would rather have a lower GI exam. I was in a bad crash myself in 1997 and my back was injured had surgery. I still have intense pain every day. When I was in the hospital I treated almost every doctor and nurses like the angels they are. Mister Scooter jerk was a spoiled brat who was never told no. I pity his girlfriend, hope she left him.

Horses are much heavier and much more powerful than humans are. One of the most common animal related deaths are death by livestock accidents involving cows or horses. You NEVER approach a horse you don't know or try to snatch the rein from the rider. By doing that, you put yourself, the horse, and rider at a serious risk for injury or even death. Equestrianism is one of the most dangerous sports in the world.

My horse is pretty mellow, except when he spooks and I guarantee he would have if some strange woman grabbed his reins and started screaming. She would have been the one in hospital, not the kid.
